Happy Thanksgiving, Winners, SALE!!! and Tribute!

In this Post:
Happy Thanksgiving
Black Friday THANKFUL For YOU SALE!
Tribute to Our Past DT members

No matter how often I decide to do a quick post, I seem to get carried away and it takes me forever – sorry!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving today with the people they love and care about! Here in Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving in October but it always feels too early and today seems like the perfect date to kick off the Christmas Season. I’ve been so busy working on new products I asked Jessica in our office to choose and contact 2 winners. Congratulations to StampinCathy and Paula who each won one of our new Couple of Cuties Stamp sets!

StampinCathy said...
Wow this is some fabulous and inspiring MOJO here! The DT rocked this challenge.I'm thankful for all the friends I've bet in cyber space and of course a chance at this adorable stamp set. Thanks for a chance.

Wow, great set. I have been so very blessed with 2 wonderful children, a husband who puts up with way too much from me :-) and a mother who loves her grandkids and still tries to take care of all of us from 300 miles away. And of course, I am thankful for great stamps!

I have so much to be thankful for and I’ve truly found the more I count my blessings the more they multiply! I’m thankful for my family, close friends and simply – my life! Creatively - I’m thankful for the inspiration that I receive in so many ways each day. From the things I discover, the people that I meet, our talented
current DT and past Design team members - from all of you whom I’ve met at shows, or who have left such uplifting comments here on this blog – THANK YOU! These quotes sum it all up.

"At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us."
- Albert Schweitzer

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.
- William Arthur Ward

And finally from the simple plaque that always hung over the entrance to my Grandmother’s kitchen “GOD is LOVE’

So in gratitude, I decided we should have a ‘Black Friday Sale’ starting now until midnight tomorrow! I’m also posting some fantastic samples today from our past DT members and I’m going to send each of them a little thankful gift.

Our Black Friday ‘THANKFUL For YOU’ SALE lasts from right now until tomorrow, Nov 27 at 12 midnight for USA & Canadian orders only. * Sorry - I can't contact Shopatron to have them take off the S&H fee but I will issue you a credit or send you a check for what you are charged, you just tell us if you want a credit or a check!

Our Christmas DT Challenge,

Hi Everyone,

Today is our Design Team Christmas Challenge and we have 10 ladies who have created fabulous samples! Our new DT member Flo is joining in for the first time and I hope it all works with the time change between here and France!

I also asked Darlene Pavlick (aka akronstamperdpk) to join in, as she is a big fan of our products, super talented and often hosts the Crafty Secrets Creative Challenges over at Splitcoaststampers.com and Papercraftplanet.com.

Please click on the links below to see the Christmas samples each lady has created starting with our DT leader and hostess Vicki Chrisman! Then scroll down to see more Christmas samples
.

I decided to search my files for an extra Christmas sample created by each of our DT ladies. As I just pulled most of these from my picture file I don't have a full supply list or links to instructions on most but if you have any questions, you can email the designer.

I adore this Winter calendar board DT leader Vicki Chrisman created using the Dec, Jan and Feb months from our Calender Creative Scraps and the little girls are from our Christmas Image & Journal Notes Booklet. The extra embellishments add the perfect finishing touch!

DT member Pam Hooten designed this pretty card and candle set using our Christmas Joy Stamps and the candle would make a great little gift. One of the advantages of unmounted stamps is that you can stamp on a curved surface as Pam did here.

DT member Heidi Blankenship used our Sweetchips Little Girls Outfit to create this adorable little Christmas dress, which would make a great keepsake with a little girls photo. The red & white paper is from our Earthy Paper Pad. Heidi also used the little holly branch from the Christmas Joy Stamp Set on the dress and heart and candy canes are Christmas Memories Stickers. We ran out of mini hangers but have more in now here.

This cool advent calendar was designed by DT member Marissa Grosson and she used the little holly branch and the bow stamp from Christmas Joy to create the wreath (amazing) matted with a SpellBinders scallop die. Numbers stamped from our Sexy Little Number Stamps and she used our ABC Top Hat alpha set to stamp words 'Christmas and Countdowm'.

This colors and the little girl look so pretty on this card DT member Michele Kovack created using our Seasons Greetings Stamp Set! I love the extra embellishments of velvet ribbon and the pink & blue combo is one of my favs! Michele went all out on this card using glitter, crystal pins, stitching, Spellbinders dies, Cosmo Cricket Paper, sentiment from Papertrey, Glimmer Mist and Tim Holtz Ink - whew! You can get all the details HERE on Michele's blog

This card DT member Linda Duke created is so cute with the liquid applique and glitter she to the little girls outfit! She is from our Christmas Scraps and Linda has details HERE on her blog.

Michelle van Etten made this cute card using the Santa, circle frame and sentiment from our Seasons Greetings Stamp Set. Paper is from our Radiant Paper Pad. I love the way she cut the bigger circle in the front and added the gold 'pearls' and some type of glitter snow to Santa.

DT member Melissa Phillips used one of the Santa images from our Christmas Postcard Kits to create this fun Christmas wall hanging mounted on a Bingo Card from Tattered Angels. You can get all the details and supply list HERE on Melissa's blog.

Flo, our newest DT member from France is so talented at creating all kinds of chipboard mini albums and containers such as baskets to hold them. This Christmas album she created is amazing. She used a mix of images from our Christmas Image & Journal Booklet and Christmas Cuts.

Darlene Pavlick created this wonderful card using our Snowbunnies stamp set. I love the Winter sky and the Liquid Applique she used. No wonder those bunnies look scared - they are going to crash into the birdies!

Here is another cute Christmas card Darlene created using a page from our Christmas Image & Journal Notes Booklet and the music pine cone stamp is from our Vintage Christmas set.

Last of all, if the download stopped working for you to get our free antique Thanksgiving Postcard, it's back up. Please click HERE to download it. Look at the pretty card Cynthia created using the image!
** Don't forget to enter to WIN our NEW Couple of Cuties Stamp Set! We are drawing 2 random winners on Thanksgiving. Just leave a comment HERE to say what you are thankful for.

Wishing you lots of joy & creativity

Red & Green Challenge
Quick & Easy Christmas Cards
CHA Craft Super Show Coupon

We’ve been so busy, it’s been ages since I lasted posted here but I have some great things to share today! We just got the proofs back for a new set that should be available in 2 weeks. Do you remember the cute couple in the car I showed on the blog HERE? They are on this set called Couple of Cuties and it turned out so cute!

We wanted to create a set that would be fun for valentines but versatile enough to use all year for different occasions. Our graphic designer, Cindy van Koll, did a fantastic job and I’m still amazed that she fit 23 separate stamps on this set! Okay, one of the stamps is just little bubbles but you can stamp as many bubbles now, where ever you want. There are so many creative ways you can mix and match the images, words and little designs on this set. I love them all so much I can’t pick a fav but I think the rainbow over the little sports car would be adorable. It could even work for a girls road trip!

To celebrate Thanksgiving, I’m giving away a couple of these cuties and I will draw 2 random winners on Thanksgiving day. Just leave a comment here on this blog and tell me what you are thankful for. Don’t forget to leave your email or check back.

I have great news - Melissa Philips wanted to return to our design team and we have missed her lovely vintage projects and are delighted to have her back! Look at this beautiful card she recently created! The image is from our new Birds & Blossoms Scraps and you can see it HERE on her blog - which is pure inspiration!
Our new Design Team member Flo (floliescrap) is from France and she creates these fabulous baskets and albums that have amazing detail. Here is a basket she made and decorated with the fairy photographer from our Love & Romance Cuts. She has basket instructions HERE on her blog.
I promised I would post some more layouts by Melisa Waldorf and it's been so crazy with shows and such I'm behind on blog posts, but I do have 3 more fabulous layouts to show you today! Melisa used several of the Birthday Kids stamp sets on this cute LO and love her colors and the way has the kids are holding different different items from the set!

You can see a close up here how she has each of the kids stamped using different items from the stamp set.

Here is another wonderful layout Melissa W created using our Sew Special stamp set and the floral paper is from our Radiant Paper Pad. Look at how she used a bunch of the stamps to stamp background paper, embellishments and a couple of the sentiments.

I love this layout Melisa W designed using our Flourish and Cherish Stamp Sets! It's so pretty and romantic. I hope it gets bigger when you click it on so you can see all the detail and the stamped frame up close!
Pammy Jo is hosting a fun challenge over at Spiltcoast to use red & green on your project along with any of our items. On the lovely card Pammy used cherries from our Garden Scraps. There are some great cards HERE in the Gallery and you can get all the details to join in the fun HERE

In case you missed DT member Vicki Chrisman's 'Fun & Easy Christmas Cards' posted HERE using images from our Christmas Image & Journal Notes Booklet I wanted to post the link because each card is so sweet!

Lastly, I wanted to add a $5.00 discount link HERE to the CHA Super Show in Anaheim, CA on Jan 22 & 23/10. For those who can make it to this show - please come by and say hi! Birdy Prize Winner, New Kitchen Cuts, 2010 Calendars, CK Show

The Birdy Prize Winner
Our New Kitchen Cuts
Print Our Free 2010 Calendar
Some Inspiring Samples
Meet Me at the CK Show in WA!

Hi Everyone,

I’m back, but with those famous words ‘better late than not at all’. I did say I would post the winner today and planned on doing it this evening just not this late! Today was one of those days that I wished I could clone myself to get everything done.

I just did the Random # Generator and it picked # 24, so the lucky winner is Katie Lyon! Congratulations Katie

True Random Number Generator Min:1 Max: 245 Result: 24

There were 245 comments and it looks like Cardinals, Robins and Bluebirds were among the most popular but there were so many different birds people picked it was really fun reading them all! I’m delighted you all love birds because I have lots more fabulous B&W and colored birdie images and may do another Bird Stamp Set with a variety of the most popular birds.

What would you think of a Birdy CD with colored birds you could print from small to large size to use on big projects like cards, pillows or wall art? Would you like this Cardinal? I would love to hear your feedback! PS – we are working on new stamp sets with images
you left feedback on previously HERE – thank you!
Okay, we have a brand new Vintage Cut called Kitchen Time and I’m thrilled with the way they turned out! The colors came out perfectly and there are so many fun images on this 7 x 12” coated cardstock sheet. The Vintage Cuts are the first Heartwarming Vintage product we did and still our our least expensive item (sug. retail $1.75 USD). We just re-printed some again and the printer had one extra space so we couldn't resist adding a new sheet

For those of you who didn’t know we have a 2010 free calendar sheet on the home page of our website (just click on 2010 under the calendar icon) that our graphic artist, the talented Cindy van Koll, creates every year. You can print it on any color of light paper, cut out the months and ink around the edges to create mini calendar pages as shown in the 2 samples below.

This calendar, designed by DT leader Vicki Chrisman, is from pg 28 in our Get Round Booklet done on six old recycled CD’s. She printed the calendar on cream paper and used images are from our Seasonal Booklet. Just match whatever images you choose to scraps of paper. I hope it gets bigger when you click it on so you can read the text. I wish I knew why some pictures get larger and others won't!

This sample below is from pg 36 in our Get Creative Booklet, designed by Jennifer Wyatt, co-owner of Mystic Paper in Mesa, AZ. Jennifer also printed the calendar on cream paper and chose images from our Seasonal Booklet and the cards sit on a plastic ‘easel style’ CD case. Sorry, the text is missing from this page.

Both of these 2 little idea booklets
were published back in 2005 and we are starting to run low so I wanted to share these calendar projects. I will post more calendar ideas during this month. Gee, if we had more time we could publish 2 new idea booklets and feature our new stuff!

I also wanted to tell you about the challenge Lori Lynn Washburn is hosting over at Splitcoast to create a window on your project and use any of our products. I love the images and stamps everyone used! Here is Lori’s card and she used kitties from the Homemade Booklet. You can see the gallery HERE and you can still join in the fun and post a project you create! Here are all the details.

I had to share this card that Deb created for the window challenge using our new Merry Christmas Scraps. The snow couple look so cute in the little shaker window she made. She has details HERE on her blog. http://frecklefacepw.blogspot.com

Look at this very pretty layout DT leader Vicki Chrisman created using the birds and roses sentiment from our Birds & Blossoms Scraps. The little torn piece on the bottom left corner is from the same sheet. Papers are from the Classic Paper Pad. If you click on Vicki's name you can see the 468 photos she has posted in our Sample Gallery! Holy moly - I just looked and she has had 1,768,006 views! Wow - she is talented and famous!

I also wanted to share this adorable card DT member Michelle Kovack designed using our Snowbunnies Stamp Set. I love the lace doily, Spellbinders die and mica flakes she used! You can get the details HERE on Michelle's blog. Poor Michelle, our gallery has messed up and stopped working for her but she has a great Crafty Secrets Gallery HERE on her blog with 114 projects she has designed using our products!

Okay, lastly for those of you who can make it (I wish everyone could) I wanted to give you the details on the CK Show we will be at this weekend in Bellevue, WA. I forgot to in our newsletter and several people emailed asking. I also found a link to a $3.00 off coupon!
