My husband and I are staying at a friends house this week Arizona have having so much fun helping them fix it up and decorate it.  We come back Wed night and I think because we have been away at shows the last few weeks, I really miss our girls, our dog Otis and my mom & dad. It's always great to go home!

Then we have the Sewing & Scrapbook Carnival show coming up April 16 & 17 in Abottsford, BC and as it's local and we can drive we be bringing all our new products as well as clearing out some old stock and will have a flea market table with great sale stuff!

I will post again when I get home and share some new secrets I discovered.

Wishing you joy & creativity

Winner, News, Fantastic Samples & 2 Great Stores!

Hi Everyone,

This was probably the hardest blog post I've ever done! My computer crashed last night and when I restarted it, the automatic firewall turned on and I went crazy trying to figure out why none of my photos would reload. I finally realized the firewall was blocking all the photos and only showing a red X. Once fixed, I thought of only posting a couple of photos but I have so much to show and share with you today!

Thank you to everyone for all your wonderful comments on our Giveaway here. You have no idea how much it means to us to have your support and encouragement The random winner for our $25.00 gift certificate with free S&H was Val # 103 who said... I love your products-cant wait to order some booklets!

We have been so busy with orders, back to back shows, working on some really COOL NEW PRODUCTS and we are having our new website designed! Here is our new logo and I'm thrilled with the way it turned out.
I love these cute baking tags DT leader Vicki Chrisman created HERE using images from our Heartwarming Vintage Kitchen Time Cuts, plus you can get and get her yummy cookie recipe. Vicki also has over 20 fantastic samples of her 3D AccuCut Shadowbox Frames that a bunch of talented ladies created posted HERE on her blog! We also have a List of Retailers HERE who have ordered one, or both of the dies from AccuCut and we will update it.

Look at this great card DT member Heidi Blankenship designed with our new Greetings From Wonderland Clear Art Stamp Set! Heidi posted a great step by step tutorial HERE on how she colored Alice on her blog.

Heidi also created this adorable card below with our Easter Creative Scraps and she has a second card HERE on her blog with all the supplies listed.

Look at this cute Easter card DT member Marissa Grosson created with the photo bunnies from our Heartwarming Vintage Seasonal Booklet. Marissa used our Easter Clear Art Stamps to stamp her ribbon

DT member Michele Kovack created this adorable card using the little tulip girl from our Easter Creative Scraps The glitter she added makes it even more pretty!

DT Member Melissa Phillips designed both of these sweet cards for Emma's Paperie using pretty images from our Little Dolls Image & Journal Notes Booklet. You can see the supply list and details HERE

DT Member Flo (Floliescrap from France) designed this fantastic paper hot air balloon using our newly revised Seasonal Booklet. You can see lots more photos HERE on Flo's blog and get all the details.

When DT Member Julie Campbell worked in our booth at the last CHA Show and got a bunch of Vicki's 3D Shadowbox Frames and says loves using them and our new Altered Fairy Scraps. To check out the adorable one Julie created using sweet images from our Little Dolls Booklet - click HERE.

Ooops - on the last post I made a mistake and gave Pammyjo credit for the fantastic 'color block' retro coffee card but it was Lori Lynn Washburn who designed and hosted the challenge on Splitcoast.

This is the card below that Pammyjo created for her 'Stamping on Ribbon' challenge last week and you can see the gallery of 12 cool cards people submitted HERE. This weeks challenge is being hosted by Marcy Talbert HERE to create a 'Touchy- Feely' card with texture. Anyone can join in the fun and submit a card using any of our products!

Okay, I promised I would show you photos from 2 wonderful stores in Victoria BC (when we stayed at the romantic B&B posted HERE) and each of these stores ooze vintage loveliness and beautiful treasures! The first is Sweet Peas at Home and it's in an old house in downtown Victoria BC.

I met the owner Debbie Johnson when she came to the Sewing Craft Show. She is so nice and when we stopped by her store on the way home from the show, I fell in love with a few treasures I had to buy!

Debbie bought some of our vintage image booklets at the show and by the time we arrived at her store the next day, she had already created so many beautiful shabby tags for her hand crafted furniture and decor items she sells. You can see one of the sweet tags she made hanging on the red baking cupboard.

I loved so many things in her store! She sells a mix of items from designer jewlery, giftware to large furniture pieces in mostly new items with some antiques. I love the fake Rosemary tree I bought and it looks so real on my kitchen window sill and I'm so happy I can't kill it!

Lastly, I have to share some photos of one of my long time favorite stores Chintz & Company!
Scott and I both love this store and usually go to the one in Vancouver but their store in Victoria is fabulous as well. Sorry USA ladies, this is a Canadian chain of stores.

They have the most incredible real looking fake plants and I've bought several small ones
for about $5.00 to sit in old tea cups as they make perfect little gifts. I also found some
pretty silver colored birds and pretty flowers this time.

Their decorating is so inspiring and fantastic I always come away with ideas. They have an incredible array of furniture with one of a kind art piecesc like this chair - which I would love to buy if I had the $$$!

We came home and Scott went on Craigs List and typed in Chintz & Company and found
a couple moving who sold us a oak coffee table, end table and a TV cabinet for $350.00,
which I'm sure was a fraction of the original price.

The upstairs is filled with home decor fabrics and stunning furniture settings.
I love to go in stores that have all the details in their displays,
from table settings to linens and art!

I had to snap a pic of this wall of fabric. I never wear orange but I love these warm colors as accents in decorating and they look great with our brown & cream paint. JoAnns also sells a fantastic array of home dec fabric as well and
I just got their flyer with the 40% off coupn in our USA mail,
so I may need to use my coupon for a pillow fabric!

Okay, that's all until next Monday, March 29 - when we will have our Design Team Spring Challenge, so be sure to come back and see what fabulous creations the ladies create! I will be posting from Arizona next week as we leave for a weeks vacation today!

Wishing you joy & creativity

With the Alice in Wonderland Movie now open our Greetings From Wonderland large stamp set has become a big hit. I adore this card that Splitcoast member Marlene Bender created for a black & white challenge

Amy Stewart, the owner from Precious Treasures in Fremont, NE hosted a Crafty Secrets Day at her new store recently. Our DT leader Vicki Chrisman went and inspire everyone with ideas. The ladies over at Splitcoast have been having some really fun challenges and Pammyjo is hosting a 'Color Block Challenge' using any of our products! Look at this very cute girlfriend card she created using images from our Homemade Booklet and Coffee & Tea Clear Art Stamps

Here is our booth at the Victoria Scrapbook Carnival & Sewing Show we attended this past weekend at the Crystal Gardens in Victoria, BC. We had a fantastic time meeting everyone and a great show! This city is very into vintage!

Here is Joanna (my friend Laurie's daughter) who I've known since she was a child. She is living in Victoria now and came to help us in the booth. It was so great to see her again after so many years and she was such an immense help at the show!

Here are some of the talented ladies who took part in our make-n-take and created some pretty keepsakes with our Vintage Postcard Kits . They jazzed them up with Flower Soft, glitter and ribbon. Every one's samples turned out so beautiful!

We stayed at the Beaconsfield Inn, a fabulous Bed & Breakfast in Victoria, BC and it was only a couple of blocks from the Crystal Garden where we attended the show. We fell in love with this place!

The decor was stunning and we stayed in the less expensive rooms for $129.00 off season (the Garden Veranda) and loved it so much we hope to return and use the gift certificate they gave us when we checked out. This was the main foyer

This is a the library that had complimentary tea, coffee and sherry each evening.

Here is the front breakfast room and the breakfast's were so yummy and served on wonderful china each morning

Breakfast changed each day and included a warm muffin, fruit bowl and pancakes with berries and whipping cream. The next day it was smoked salmon with hollandaise and poached eggs and corn bread

Our bedroom, which had a jacuzzi

The next time I post I have some fantastic photos to share of my 2 favorite shabby stores in Victoria. Don't forget to enter to win our $30.00 gift certificate by leaving a comment here on this blog. We will draw a random winner next Tues March 23

Website is Fixed, Flo’s Fund Raiser, New Samples!

Hi Everyone,

I'm so HAPPY to say our website is fixed finally and back up! I'm going to ask for 8 months of free hosting for the 8.5 days it was down! All our emails are working now as well.

Look at this pretty Easter Basket DT member Flo Teixeira from France created! The bunnies are from our Calendar Creative Scraps and you can see more photos and the other products she used HERE on Flo's blog. If you scroll below you can also read about the fundraiser & giveaway Flo is hosting BUT it's only open to our European readers due to the high cost of postage and possible foreign exchange fees on Paypal. She has an English translator on the right side of her blog.

Flo is hosting a fund raiser for her friends house which burned down in France. I donated some products for a giveaway and she will be drawing a winner from all the people who donate BUT - due to the high cost of postage it is only open to people from Europe. The donation is through French Paypal and a minimum of 6 Euros is needed, so I don't know if anyone in the USA or Canada can donate with out being charged a foreign exchange fee - but I know we have readers of this blog throughout Europe who may want to help out! Here is the link.

For those who make a donation of 6 Euros or more, Flo will email them the link to our Eiffel Tower Pattern and enter them in the draw. The tower prints on two 8.5 x 11" pieces of cardstock and is easy to make but you need to cut out the 4 sides. Look at this beautiful sample Flo created with the pattern. She put hers on a base which I thought was a great idea. She also used our French Mail Stamps to stamp 'Paris' on the little banner that comes with the pattern.

DT member Melissa Phillips created 3 super pretty cards using our Garden Creative Scraps and this is one of them. You can see the other cards HERE on Melissa's blog.

Melissa showed this card below on an earlier post HERE using our Spring Cotton Scraps. I adore this Sweet Pea image she used and I love how she cut the twill fabric with pinking shears. I also missed adding the link to her bunny card HERE last post.

I spotted another really pretty sample HERE on DT leader Vicki Chrisman's Blog. She used our Easter Creative Scraps and I'm expecting an order for the very beautiful gold stickers she used around the image and some very cool embellishments which I will be showing you soon!

That's all folks until next time
Wishing you all joy & creativity
