Winner of 6 New Scraps & Some Inspiring Samples!

Hi Everyone,

Winner of Our 6 New Creative Scraps
Adorable Samples From Cherry Nelson
Altered Fairy Book
More Samples From Norway

Hi Everyone,

This is a quick post as it’s our oldest daughter Katie’s 28th birthday today (where did the time go?) and we are having a BBQ down at our trailer. She flew into town on Fathers Day but has to head back to work tomorrow morning to wrap up a TV documentary she has been working on way up north in a little place outside of Fort Saint John, BC about a town going on a diet. It may become a series on CBC and as an excited momma I will post pre-show details.

We have a winner for our 6 new Creative Scraps from Random.org and the number generator picked 5 out of 125 comments, so congratulations to the winner Erin Smetak!

I do have some really great samples to show you!  Cherry Nelson has been creating some great samples with our products and I have a few to share today and will post more again soon. Look at this cute card she created to look like a recipe card using an image from our Kitchen Time Cuts. You can see more photos HERE on Cherry's Blog.  Note: the children and chicken cards are not our images.

Look at this cute tag created with an image from our Summertime Booklet

Cherry used our Sew Nice Creative Scraps on this card and I love the way she wrapped string around the spools she stamped with our Material Girl Stamp set. You can see more samples HERE on Cherry's blog.
including a great B&W card she created

Here is another card she created using the Material Girl Stamp set and the embroidery lettering from the Sew Nice Scraps. Looks great and no coloring needed. You can see more samples HERE on Cherry's blog.

DT leader Vicki Chrisman’s cousin Paula is a talented altered artist and she has been creating some fabulous projects with our Altered Fairy Scraps like this adorable card! You can see another one HERE on Paula’s blog.

I also wanted to show you this very cool book Paula created using the Fairy Scraps and you can see more pages from her booklet HERE and see more of her artistic work HERE on her blog!

Wenche Jensen is another designer from Norway who has been creating some great samples using our products! I love this cute bookmark she created with our Booklovers Clear Art Stamp Set. You can see more photos of the bookmark HERE and some other samples Wenche created  HERE on the Scrapping.no site!

That's all until the next post

Wishing you all much joy & creativity!

Don’t Miss Our DT Challenge this Mon, June 21/10

We are back from our TX, AZ & MX trip and it’s been a crazy week catching up with new product arriving for the CHA Show next month, ads to create, the new website we are finishing and all the new products we are working on! I’ve been away so long I have lots of news and samples to share today!

I also just thought of an idea, to change my old list of Ways to Say I Love You into ‘Quick Ways to Say Happy Fathers Day   I know it’s tomorrow and most of you won’t see this until then but they are almost all fast & fun and you may find a few ideas to incorporate or use later for his birthday.

16 Quick Ways to Say Happy Fathers Day – I Love You Dad!

(for your husband or father, or ideas for your kids)

1.) Forgot to get a card? Create a handmade card using our free poem HERE.
Just scroll down on the left side bar and click ‘Fathers Day Poem’

2.) Make him a crown to wear so he can be a king for the day! Click HERE for our free crown pattern. Scroll down and click 'Tall Crown' in left side bar. Print it on yellow cardstock and decorate.

3.) Far away? - Write a mushy heartfelt letter or poem to sent by e-mail, fax, text etc
4.) Write it in icing on a cake or cookie shaped like a boat, trailer or??
5.) On a note inside his lunch, his pocket or wallet
6.) Stamped on your body as a temporary tattoo (heart & DAD)
7.) Written on a keepsake bookmark tucked in a new book by his favorite author.
8.) Interview those who loves him and record it in a scrapbook or on video
9.) Interview him with a list of questions about his life and record it as a keepsake
10.) Call the local radio station with a song dedication to your husband or dad
11.) Sing a ‘why I or we love dad’ song (live perform or record as a surprise)
12.) Write messages of love on balloons with markers to create a DAD balloon bouquet.
13.) Make a # 1 Dad banner to hang and a little flag to poke in his pancakes or supper.
14.) Leave Post-it-love-notes in surprise spots to be found around the house
15.) Write it using sidewalk chalks in front of his car on the driveway
16.) This one isn’t so quick but is also great for a birthday or retirement. Buy a special journal or scrapbook to give as a gift, but first record your BEST DAD message along with favorite childhood memories with him & what makes him special to you. You can add photos, bits of ephemera, cards and keepsakes. You don't have to fill it up. You can add to it over time.

To recap, we had a fantastic show in TX at the Great American Scrapbook Show (see pics HERE in my last post and HERE on Vicki's blog) and after the show we took a break and flew to AZ so we could do a trip my husband Scott has been dreaming of for years – to drive to Puerto Penasco, MX to see his fav band Roger Clyne & the Piecemakers play in their annual concert there. DT leader Vicki Chrisman taught at the show and is also a big fan so she came along for the trip. My camera won’t download my photos but Vicki created a great Video HERE on her blog!

When we got home 3 more of our NEW Creative Scraps were delivered and are starting to ship to stores now so please tell your fav store! The Halloween Scraps will be available this Monday (June 21) in our online store and we will release all the new double sided scraps July 1st! Monday is also our DT Challenge! I am so excited I have to show you the Halloween ones now and just leave a comment here and get entered to win all 6 of our double sided Creative Scraps!

A random winner will be annouced Wed, June 23 and receive our double sided Garden, Domestic Goddess, Sasonal Calendar, Birds & Blossoms, Sew Nice and Halloween!  Here is the ad we just finished for Scrapbook Business Magazine. We only had room in the ad to show a few of the new products but I promise there are more coming!

Okay, now I have some great samples to show you! Look at this great card past DT member Lisa Zappa created for her dad for Fathers Day using our new Car Classics set.

We have in our new Bonjour Merci Stamp Set and the DT ladies have been creating some beautiful samples! Look at the sweet card DT member Michele Kovack designed. Love the papers and colors she used and you can get the details HERE on Michele's blog.

Heidi used some of the little flourish stamps and flower border from our Bonjour Merci Stamps to decorate this very cute purse she made with her Cricut machine and you can get the details HERE on Heidi's blog.
When I talked with Heidi last week her town had been hit by a tornado and poor Vicki went back home to flooding in her area of Nebraska. They are okay but what is with the weather lately?

Look at the pretty card DT Member Marisa Grosson created with the Bonjour Merci set. I love all the styles of lettering on this set and all the little bits and pieces you can use to build with. You can get the details HERE on Marisa's blog.

Here's an adorable card DT member Julie Cambell created using our Mermaid set. The glitter with the gold edging looks so pretty! You can get the details HERE on Julie's blog and see a card she made with the French set HERE

Julie is creating a scrapbook album for her parents anniversary and has been posting pages like this pretty one she used our Flourish Stamp Clear Art Stamps on and you can see more HERE on her blog. I love the page with the wedding dress sketches!

I don't know how I missed this great 3D card DT member Deborah March created with our Greetings From Wonderland stamp set.  I love how she used paper piecing by stamping Alice's dress and crown again. You can get the details HERE on Deborah's blog and see her new birdie card HERE.

Look at this fun card DT member Pam Hooten created using our Party Cat Clear Art Stamps. Okay, I admit the caption question 'Feline Frisky Tuna-ite? is pretty corny but it's so fun! There are some hilarious phrases on this stamp set. You can get details HERE on Pam's blog.  Pam came to TX and and helped Vicki in our classes and with our make & takes and we had a great time!

Talking about cats, look at this adorable card DT member Melissa Phillips created using the kitties from our Sew Nice Double Sided Scraps and the scissors and thread card off our Material Girl Clear Art Stamps and word Sing is off our new Birdies stamp set.  You can get the details HERE on Melissa's blog.

I also spotted this very pretty card DT member Michele Kovack made using the little hamock girl from our Sweet Kids Clear Art Stamps. You can get the details HERE on Michele's blog.

Okay, don't forget to leave a comment here to be entered to win all 6 of our new double sided Creative Scraps and come back Mon, June 21 for our DT challenge!  A  random winner will be annouced Wed, June 23. You can can leave any comment. Do you like the new halloween Scraps? Are you having weird weather? It's late June and we haven't had much sun but that seems trivel compared to tornados and flooding.

Wising you joy & creativity

Texas Show a Success, Vacation Time, Links & New Stamp Set!

Hi Everyone,

We are all packed up and back at the hotel after doing the Great American Scrapbook Show in Arlington, TX and it was a GREAT Show! Both of our classes were sold out and went really well - thanks to our fabulous teacher Vicki Chrisman and her wonderful helpers DT Member Pam Hooten and Bev Gerard AKA: TexasGrandma. We leave tomorrow for a couple of days in AZ and then will drive down to Mexico to see my husband Scott & Vicki's Fav band Roger Cline & the Peacemakers in Rocky Point. Vicki likes Roger so much she made him into a tiny traveling mascot (see him between us in the photo on a stick).

This show is always so much fun as we always meet so many great new people and saw lots of really nice customers from previous years. Here is a photo of the front of the booth.

Here is Vicki at our make&take table. People had a chance to create Domestic Goddess Tags, an altered Fairy Card or Vintage Postcard and great fun was had by all!

I took this photo of our little girlfriends theme display before the show opened

Here is DT Member Pam Hooten taking a turn running our little make & take table

I took this photo of my hubby Scott & Kyle (owner of Tattered Angels) who came by to visit when there was a lull this afternoon. People thought the attendance seemed to be a bit lower this year) but we had our busiest show ever and had so many people say ours was one of their favorite booths and that felt wonderful! I think it's because of all the fantastic samples we display

Oh my, I just spotted this beautiful calendar DT Member Melissa Phillips designed with our new double sided Calendar Scraps you can see it HERE on her blog!. Some stores may still have the single sided ones which won't have these big images, so double check before you buy, but they are shipping to stores now.
You also have to check out all the fabulous samples people have submitted for Lori Lynn Washburn's challenge over at Splitcoast to incorporate 'kraft paper' with any Crafty Secrets products. Here are the details from Lori if you would like to join in and HERE is the Gallery!

This is a new stamp set that is available now for stores to order and in our Shopatron store called Bonjour Merci! I love the lettering styles and all the branches, birdies, the 2 borders and various pieces you can use to decorate projects! I will show you all samples soon

Also, go see all the great new samples posted in our Online Gallery HERE, including new samples by DT member Deborah March
I had to share this cute ad Cindy our graphic designer just finished for Rubber Stamp Madness Magazine. It's just a tiny little ad but I like how it turned out

Okay, it's way past bedtime, so until next time...
wishing you much joy & creativity!
