Great New Samples, Mixed Media Art & Coupon for Portland CK Show

Hi Everyone,   *** We still haven't been able to contact winners DT Hop Winners Gretchen Wilson (from Starla Nelson's Blog), Danielle Therese Greenwood (winner from our blog). They can each pick any Medium Stamp set and any 2 sheets of Creative Scraps and email us their address.

Look at this adorable card our March DT Guest Tammy Roberts created using an image from our Sew Nice Creative Scraps and Sew Special Clear Art Stamp Set. Love how she stamped the scissors and cut them out and stamped the safety pin. The sentiment is from our Couple of Cuties set.

Tammy used one of the sentiments and the pincushion from the Sew Special set to stamp on felt to create this cool little real pincushion. The pretty stick pins, flowers, lace, charm and little zipper head she stitched on make this 'sew special'!

Everyone loves using this image from our Love Mail Scraps and I know it's because Cindy van Koll, our graphic designer did such a fantastic job of building it! I've wanted to use this expression for ages but I needed the perfect birdies, nest and font and Cindy put them together so perfectly in this frame it makes it easy to create a beautiful sample like this one Tammy did. Wouldn't this make a wonderful mini book cover for a journal?

Here's one more that Tammy did using the Love Scraps and stamps are from our Artsy Banner set. I'm not sure if she used a blank postcard from our Postcard kits or the new larger Spellbinders die?

Now that Spring has arrived I think I will post a bunch of Easter and Spring theme samples over the next couple of weeks. Please tell me if there is anything else you would like to see or challenges you would like our DT ladies to try in future?

Look at this pretty card DT Member Julie Campbell created using the chicks from our Seasonal Calendar Scraps. You can see more photos and  another lovely card HERE on Julie's Blog.

Angie, the owner of Scrapscene took some art classes with Christy Tomlinson and Emily Falconbridge on the weekend and created some fabulous mixed media art. She posted it all HERE on Scrapscene yesterday with links and said she loved using our Artsy Banner Clear Art Stamp set to embellish with! You can see the script stamp across the dress, Text, No., and the mini scallop border on her page.

If you live in the Portland area we would love to see you at the Creating Keepsakes Show this weekend and I have a $3.00 off coupon you can print. We also have free gifts with a first purchase over $15.00, lots of samples by our talented DT ladies and a Flea Market table! If you are reading this and you want to help us set up tomorrow for free product or cash - please call our cell 604 617-3055 or office 1-888 597-8898.  My husband Scott does not love set up and I want it to be as painless as possible!

Okay, now I have someone fun to tell you about!  Sophie La Fontaine is our Guest Designer next month for April and I'm saving a bunch of her fantastic new cards - but I wanted to show you some others she's already posted. She colors her stamp with watercolors or Copics and loves to combine stamp sets to create fun cards for her grandchildren and she often draws her own extra details.

This is a new card Sophie recently posted in her gallery at Splitcoaststampers.com that I thought was perfect for the 2 day of Spring! Sophie used a mouse from our Mouse Party set, watering can is from Garden Girls and sentiment from Thinking of You set. She painted the flower stems, sky and grass and added cute layered flowers.  PS - If you click on the stamp set blue links you can see other samples by our Design Team as well!

With Easter around the corner, I wanted to show you this card Sophie created last Easter with the Peter Rabbit bunnies from our Easter Joys Stamp Set. Okay, she's a talented watercolor painter but her simple whimsical scenes makes me want to try!

I like how she used a bunch of stamps from our Down of the Farm Stamp Set to create a race scene (to the car races). She used YIPPEE and the 'grass stamp' but drew the sign.

Look at how Sophie combined our Bugs Life Stamp Set with our Car Classics Set! , the compass and  'Postcard' from our Journey Set and Lily of the Valley is from our Fairyland Stamp Set on this fun card and added dots to the bug's car!
Here's another card Sophie made for her grandson also using Bug's Life and Car Classics and she stamped the flourish from our Cherubs set. She drew the branch and sign. You can see Sophie's Gallery HERE with other amazing samples.

I wanted to show more photos from our trip to the Craft & Antique Show in Lynden, WA but most turned out too dark.  A few people were selling plants and I bought some of the bright green ones. I do love aged pots and wanted to share an  recipe HERE for how to age clay pots with yogurt or buttermilk.

I loved these wonderful aprons by Tracy but decided to stick with my floral vintage one. Her website http://www.parkercourtdesigns.com/ isn't finished yet.

I wished there were more antiques so later we went to a couple of the antique malls and shops in this cute Dutch theme town started in the 1870's.

One of my favorite stores in town was Once Upon a Fairyland, owned by Jaqueline who coincidentally called us last month for wholesale info and is going to place an order. She has a great mix of new and shabby used items with some fun quirky stuff. Link to her website

Cute little bunny dolls she had!

I adore these cute little girls dresses and they were only $20.00. Hey ladies, remember you can stamp on fabric with stamps! Use Ranger Archival ink and heat set it. I don't like Stazon for clear stamps. It has solvents in the ink and it really does 'stay on' and can fill in detail if you don't clean your stamps well. I would stay clear of Stazon Cleaner as it has even higher amounts of solvent. If you want to use Stazon ink to stamp on a slick surface like glass, be sure to stamp off on paper towels right and clean your stamp with a soft toothbrush. Past DT member Anna Wight uses Stazon regularly and says she never has a problem.

I fell in LOVE with the original old tin ceiling in the store and wanted to bring it home! Look how it's curved and goes down the wall. This is a photo of owner Jaqueline and a vendor she buys Chatty Cathy doll clothes from.

Lastly, I will leave you with a sweet card by March DT Guest Tammy Roberts that she created with an image from our Little Dolls Booklet. I have some other wonderful samples posted this month by Tammy and will have at least one more post after we get back from the Creating Keepsakes Show this weekend!  Come see us at the show, as we are bringing EVERYTHING and will have a Flea Market Sale Table, Tons of inspiring samples and fun!

I love Heidi's layered tag she designed using our Tea With Alice Stamp set!

Look at this adorable card Heidi created with our Little Boy Clear Art Stamp set. I love the way she built a scene using so many of the stamps and the way she colored it all with Copics.

I also wanted to include a link to the Lyden, WA Craft & Antique Show we went to today.

This was a fun retro booth by HomeDeconomics and owner Charity has an etsy shop.

I bought this set of 4 prints mostly because I loved the frames and have an idea for them. Loved this booth but no website.

Great New Samples, Winner and DT Hop Details With EP This Friday!

Hi Everyone,    Here is an adorable St Pat's card our DT Guest Designer Tammy Roberts created using one of our free printable images HERE on our website. I love how she printed it on fabric and added the bling.

I was at our warehouse for most of today so I'm posting this late.  We had 263 comments for our blog giveaway of our 2 new Clear Art Stamps and WOW - thanks so much for all the wonderful feedback! The winning number was 202. Congratulations to MelissaAnnie who said...

Sooooo beautiful! I just adore the Mother set!
xo from Alberta, Canada,
Melissa

Here is a new adorable sample Guest DT Tammy sent me that she created using an image from our Seasonal Booklet. She used our Cherish Stamp Set to stamp across the top of her card and the sheet music paper is from our Radiant Paper Pad. I'm sad this pad has sold out and I wonder... would you like us to put the Radiant and Earthy Paper Pads (both sold out now) on a CD?  The other CD's we are working on are turning out so cool but they are taking longer than I planned because I'm greedy and driving our graphic designer Cindy crazy, trying to fit so many patterns in B&W and color on it. Details to follow soon!

Look at this pretty card that DT Member Pam Hooten created using the love birds from our Love Mail Scraps. Our DT ladies are loving these new Creative Scraps and creating so many fantastic samples!  See card details HERE on Pam's Blog.

It looks so pretty with how DT member Linda Duke used one of the scallop journal notes from the Love Scraps to decorate her girlfriend card here. She stamped 'Girlfriend' from our Cupcake Party Stamp Set and you can get all the supply details HERE on Linda's Blog.

I love this romantic card that DT Member Heidi Blankenship created using the new Love Mail Creative Scraps and how she tore and distressed some of the images from the sheet to create layers. You can get the details HERE on Heidi'ds Blog.

There is something so pretty about the combination of pastel pink & blue papers, it makes me sigh every time and this card is no exception because DT member Julie Campbell also used one of my fav images, the birdy with the crown from our Birds & Blossoms Scraps. She used the Artsy Alphabet set to stamp a double banner across the top of the card. You can get see more photos, including her beautiful 'Love Lives Here' card HERE on Julie's Blog.

I wanted to tell you about a card class Melissa Samuels is teaching in Richmond Virgina using our Altered Fairies Creative Scraps. Her cards are really unique and each one is so pretty

Joanne Allison is hosting a fun 'Take Flight Challenge' on Splitcoast this week and anyone can join in and post a sample! You can use any of our products with WINGS.  Joanne has all the details HERE and even has links to the free printables we have on our website with wings. She used a combination of our Altered Art, Believe and Mini Memories to stamp her card and cut the lady from our Earthy Paper Pad (sorry, it's sold out). See the Gallery HERE!

Marilyn from Victoria was such a great helper in our booth at the Sewing & Craft Show we did in Victoria, BC a couple of weeks ago. She sent me this photo of our booth and we had all 20' packed full of goodies. We are getting ready for the Creating Keepsakes Show in Portland, OR on Mar 25 & 26 and hope to see a bunch of you there! We will have a Flea Market SALE Table and a free gift with a $15.00 purchase.

Okay, now I have exciting news (in case you haven't heard) we are doing a Blog Hop with the Daisy and her talented Design Team from Eclectic Paperie and our our Design Team Members this Friday, March 18! Eclectic Paperie has a fantastic store and they will be having blog giveaway prizes and so will we here on the blog, so come back and check it all out!

New Stamp Giveaway, Welcome DT Guest Tammy Roberts, New Samples & Challenge!

Hi Everyone,  Leave a comment on this post to be entered to WIN our 2 New Clear Art Stamps that will be arriving later next week!  SS21 Love & Support and SM38 Love You Mother, plus we will add a sheet of Love Mail Scraps! You can click them on to see them larger.

Love & Support is a 3 x 4" small set and Love You Mother is a 4 x 6" medium set.
I love the way both turned out but which is your favorite?

I have showed samples by Tammy Roberts in the past and I'm so happy she is our guest designer this month!  BIO:  Tammy says she’s been married for 24 years to her best friend and they have 3 beautiful kids. When she isn’t spending time with her family her other passion is to create beautiful things.  Anything from sewing, scrapbooking, cards, altered projects..... the sky is the limit. She has a love for vintage and has fallen in love with our Crafty Secrets images and Clear Art Stamps.
I adore this sweet card Tammy created with our Little Blessings Scraps.

Look at how she stitched pattern papers together here to make a 'love quilt' card and embellished it with our Sew Special Stamps using the hat pin, butterflies, dress form and one of the phrases on the tag. You can see the details better HERE on Tammy's Blog.

Here is a sweet little journal she decorated with the little praying boy also from our Little Blessings Scraps. I love how she added the tiny metal crown and stamped 'Little Prince' from our Baby Boy Stamp Set.

Tammy used an image from our Vintage Photos Creative Scraps to create this cute card

I adore this card and tag Tammy created with our new Love Mail Scraps and how she used stamps from our Feeling Yucky stamp set to make it more special for a sick friend. You can see more photos HERE on Tammy's Blog.

Look at this pretty card that DT leader Vicki Chrisman created with the Love Mail Scraps and you can see another card and get the details HERE on Vicki's Blog. I like the way Vicki stitched on her card and added the little 'SENT WITH LOVE' ticket from the Scraps. You can also read a great interview HERE that Malia from Yesterday on Tuesday had with Vicki.

DT member Melissa Phillips designed a group of beautiful cards using our new Love Mail Creative Scraps and you can see the other pretty cards HERE on Melissa's Blog. I love that the Love Mail Scraps can work for such a variety of cards and gift tags for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and other occasions.

I also wanted to show you this gorgeous little card Melissa also created using our SS18 Material Girl Clear Art Stamp Set. Look how she stamped the little 'Best Quality Cotton Card' and cut it out to wrap it with pink embroidery floss. This has been my fav idea people are doing with this set and I have a collection of even cooler thread cards from England in larger sizes.  What do you think of a new 'stitching & antique button stamp set?

Look at this adorable card DT member Julie Campbell created using the Love Mail Scraps and our Artsy Banner set to stamp the scallop borders.  I like how Julie cut out a second little girl and mounted her 3D and added one of the faux stamps. You can see more photos and read her tribute to her blog friends and the links HERE on Julie's Blog.

Look at this special keepsake layout Julie created of her grandparents and how she used copies of their old love letters with our Love Mail Creative Scraps and cut out the cherub. You can read the story and see all the details HERE on Julie's Blog.

In case you missed our last DT Party Challenge, I want to show you this stunning ensemble DT Member Heidi Blankenship designed using our Love Mail Scraps and our Rose Stamp Set. Look at how she used the Rose stamp to design a pretty placemat and create the 3D layered rose on the placecard. You can see close up details HERE on Heidi's blog.

Valentines is over but I had to show you this fun little 'tag bag' that DT member Michele Kovack created for her husband this year using an image from our Seasonal Booklet.  You can get the details HERE on Michelle's Blog.

I also wanted to show you this fabulous card DT Member Linda Duke created with our SM35 Floral Art Stamp set adding a window and border using some Spellbinders dies. You can get all the details HERE on Linda's Blog.

Lastly, I wanted to tell you about this weeks challenge over st Splitcoaststampers.com that Darlene Pavlick is hosting to create a card using just one of our Clear Art Stamp sets to stamp a background, the main image and sentiment.  Look at how Darlene used our Poppy Stamp Set to design this striking card.  The dragonfly looks so cool stamped using a multi colored ink pad.  You can join in the fun and get the details HERE and see the Gallery HERE with other wonderful samples!

Don't forget to leave a comment to be entered to win our NEW (coming later next week) Love & Support and Love You Mother Clear Art Stamp Sets and a sheet of our Love Mail Scraps!

Wishing you joy & creativity
