Giveaway for 2 New Jumbo Digital Stamp Sets - Down on the Farm and Vintage Hardware!

Hi Everyone, I'm excited to announce a Giveaway for our 2 New Digital Stamp Sets, Down on the Farm and Vintage Hardware. Just leave a comment here and tell me which set you like best. A random winner will be announced next Monday.

All of these designs originally fit on a 6" x 8" sheet but now the images are larger digitally as you can see on sizes below. I added so many new designs - there are 51 total, they take up 2 preview sheets.

I'm so proud of this set as I didn't have any help from our graphic designer Cindy except to turn them into PNG files. They are all adapted from old drawings but I cut, pasted and drew in many new details, like changing the baseball cap on the farmer in #49 to a cowboy hat.   There is an array of country and farm theme images from illustrations of animals, barns, adorable children, farmers, tractors, country scenes, 2 poems and a hilarious mix of fun words and sayings.

Here's a preview sheet of past samples that were created with the original clear stamp set.  We still have a few Down on the Farm Clear Sets left but Our Farm Chicks Clear Sets have sold out and become a large Digital Stamp Download.

Here's our Vintage Hardware Digital Stamp Set which was originally a medium clear set that sold out and now has become a large set with 36 PNG files in black as well as brown. You can use the Faux eyelets to dress up plain punched holes on tags and mini albums, add decorative nail heads, buttons, columns, iron looking brackets, an iron fence, a decorative plaque frame, 4 ornate drawer handles, 2 large keys, a lock, 4 key holes, 4 hinges, 4 door knob plates, a door bell, a 11” measuring tape and more.

NOTE: if you know how to make SVG cutting files (or know someone who does) for die cutting with a Cameo Silhouette or similar machine please contact me at craftysecrets@telus.net .  I would love to have these available with the die software!

You can print the designs on color paper to suit a project like light brown, gold, gray, or try bright or pastel colors. You can color the designs with markers, metallic pens or try an embossing pen.

You can change the black designs to other colors if you want something eclectic like bright pink door hardware and I did a past tutorial showing how to change colors.

Here's a great card by DT Leader Kathy Clement she created with our new Garden Scraps Digital Set using the raspberry label. Love how she machine sewed her paper and the layers she combined.

I also have this pretty button card by DT Member Diane Hover she created with our Printable Button Card Set.  love how she matched it up with the lace doily paper from our Sewing CD #7 and added the pink embellishments.

Farm Chicks Blog Hop Winner and Great DT Samples

Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner!  We had a great time with our Farm Chicks Blog Hop earlier this week, and hope you had time to hop along.  If you missed it, you can see all the great projects the design team put together in this blog post.   It appears that Sandy gets the Blue Ribbon prize for this wonderful Digital Art Stamp Set, as you were all very enthusiastic in your comments.  Thanks so much for hopping with us.  Now we need to announce the winner of the hop:

SueD was one of only TWO hoppers who remembered to leave a comment on every blog, and her winning comment was pulled from Melody's blog where she said:

"Love this card design inside and out. the pink gingham and burlap are perfect."

Congrats, Sue!  You win your very own set of our Farm Chicks Digital Art Stamps and our Chicken Farm embossed paper, too!

I'm excited to let you know that even as I write this, Sandy is putting together another incredible farm themed stamp set with stunning images and clever sentiments.  It will be released soon, and we'll share it along with some samples to get your creative juices flowing.

Yesterday was Earth Day, and I spotted a couple of great upcycling projects that our clever design team ladies have made lately.  I wanted to share them with you here in honor of Earth Day.

Michele Kovack upcycled an ugly berry basket and made this beautifully embellished spring home decor project using our Victorian Easter Egg Scraps.  I know we are past Easter, but this is such a pretty project that I would be tempted to leave it out until summer rolled in!

Ginny Nemchak upcycled a bit of scrap wood and turned it into this cheery retro wall hanging.  She  used our Domestic Goddess Creative Scraps.  I love the color palette, the shiny pop of the red buttons and those fabby vintage aprons, too! Her papers are from our Creating with Vintage Patterns CD and are the perfect match for the aprons.  Wouldn't this make a great Mother's Day gift?

This last project is such a cute idea for Mother's Day,  a bachelorette party or bridesmaid's luncheon.  Melody used a stamp from our Sew Fashionista set and papers from the Radiant Collection to make this clever corset card. Melody has all the details on her blog.

Oh, and I wanted to remind you to get ready for our May Linky Party!  It will go live on May 4th, and it's an anything goes as long as you use Crafty Secrets goodies theme.  So better get your craft on and get ready for the party!

On behalf of Sandy Redburn, I wish you joy and creativity!

Farm Chicks Blog Hop and Giveaway

Hello, "Peeps!"  Welcome to our Farm Chicks Blog Hop and Giveaway!  I have some wonderful samples to share with you today, all featuring projects made with our fabulous Farm Chicks Digital Art stamps and our Digital Chicken Farm papers.  Sandy released these wonderful new products about a month ago, and the design team fell in love with them.  So we put our heads together and decided it would be fun to host a little "hen party" here on the blog, and invite you to hop along for fun and prizes!

If you haven't seen the new Farm Chicks Digital Art Stamps, you don't know what you are missing.  This is such a great vintage stamp set that works beautifully for masculine and feminine projects alike.  It has awesome potential to be used as home decor, since chickens and roosters are once again all the rage.  And, it could make great place cards, party invites, table decor, and of course...cards!

The Digital Art Stamps Set has 40 "chick"  images and sentiments.  We think you will agree with us, these stamps are really something to "crow" about!

Our Chicken Farm paper is such a pretty shade of blue green...just like the beautiful Araucana Chicken eggs.  The paper appears to be deeply embossed, and prints beautifully on your home printer.

 Now, let's get to hopping!

I had a blast creating this rooster themed gift ensemble.  You can read how I layered the images and find a link to the tutorial for the gift box on my blog, Kathy by Design.

Darlene Pavlick had so much fun playing with these goodies that she created two cards, one for the hens and one for the roosters.  You can read all about them on her blog, Dar's Crafty Creations.

Diane Hover used our Chicken Farm paper to make this sunny side up card.  She has all the details on her blog, Nellie's Nest.

Elizabeth Lincoln's fancy fold card is Grade A Fresh!  Read all the details on her wonderful blog, Paper Pass Times.

Ginny Nemchack went a little French Country with this stylish card done primarily in black and white.  The images in this stamp set are so beautiful, you really don't have to color them unless you just want to.  Get all the details on Ginny's blog, Polly's Paper Studio.

Gloria Stengel created a clean and layered masculine card that really shows off the rooster stamp and the great texture you get when you add the chicken wire stamp.  You can read all about it on Gloria's blog, Scraps of Life.

Melody Clement used stitching and burlap to create the perfect nest for her pretty card.  You can see all the details on her blog, Paper Melody's.

Michele Kovack featured another rooster on a faux barn board and chicken wire background.  I love the bow treatment on this beautifully colored card.  See the details on Michele's Blog, Thoughts of a Card Making Scrapbooker.

Sheila Rumney captured the vintage vibe in this sweet and simple blue card. I just love the Mason jar filled with lace, don't you?  You can read about it on her blog, Sheila Rumney Design and Photography.

Blog Hop Rules and Prize

Be sure to visit each blog in the order listed above, and leave each designer some love, because one of these designers will choose the lucky prize winner, and we don't even know yet which blog it is!  The winner will be chosen on Wednesday, April 22nd, and announced here on Thursday, April 23rd.  When you've visited each blog in the hop and left a nice comment, come back to the Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage Blog and let us know that you completed the hop.  That's it!  One of you will be chosen to win the Farm Chicks Digital Art Stamp Set and the Chicken Farm Digital paper!

Hope your day is "eggstra" special!

Cheerio,
Kathy

3 New Digital Creative Scraps and Fab DT Samples!

Hi Everyone, I had some computer problems but was finally able to add all 3 of the Digital Scraps  that have been turned into 4 page Digital Downloads. You can see the 3 sets below, Garden, Mini Vintage Images and Vintage Photos.

Also, I have a couple of wonderful samples to show you like this beautiful boot by DT Member Darlene Pavlick that she created using our Garden Style Digital Stamp Set. I love the colors so much - I would buy these to wear!

Some how I missed adding DT Leader Kathy Clements fantastic card she created with the bicycle image from our Typography CD 3. It turned out so great and you can get all the details and see more photos on Kathy's Blog.

We have 3 new Digital Creative Scraps Sets!
I think the Vintage Photo Scraps is one of my all time favorite Scraps for creating greeting cards as the photos are a mix of cute, funny and sentimental and there are so many fun phrases to pick from.  I will add the download links later today

Here are some sample ideas using the Vintage Photo Scraps.

Here's the link to the new 4 page Vintage Garden Digital Download for $3.50. I'm excited that the digital download will allow you to print on different mediums and crop and re-size the images. Our double sided Garden Scraps have sold out but some single sided Garden are left for .99 cents (so you get page 1 and 2 printed on cardstock).

Here are sample ideas that were created with the printed Garden Scraps but I know our DT ladies are excited to have these digital sets and will be creating some inspiring samples.

Our Mini Vintage Scraps are sold out and have become a 4 page Mini Vintage Digital Download for $3.50  The new addition are the strip of 4 tickets along the bottom. All the images are perfect for creating jewelry like pendants, buttons, charms, card embellishments, ATC and more! The great thing now is you can re-size the images to fit a variety of mini projects and print them on different mediums.

Sample ideas using Mini Vintage Scraps.  Past DT Member Viola Mahr was a co-designer on this set with our designer Cindy van Koll and you can see some of the beautiful samples she created below.

Here's more samples that were created with this popular set.

Fabulous Reasonable Ribbon Samples and Our New Store Photos!

Hi Everyone, are doing a cross promotional with Really Reasonable Ribbon and our DT ladies created some beautiful samples for our April Linky Party and today I'm showing off the fabulous samples the RRR Design Team ladies have created!  I also have photos and details about our new store in Bellingham WA and Etsy Store.

I'm so happy that Ginny is on our DT and she's also on the RRR Design Team and she created this super cute Alice pocket to hold a bunch of fun tags using our Wonderland Tea Creative Scraps - on sale for $1.95 now!  You can see all her tags and details here on the RRR Blog.

Really Reasonable Ribbon has such beautiful ribbons and put together such great collections each month. This is the April assortment which the DT ladies used and I just love the colors! It work out to just $9.00 for 14 to 16 yards and includes shipping.

Karen Letchworth used our Sewing CD 7 to create 3 wonderful cards including this one and you can see the others here. I love how she ran the peach ribbon down the side and added the mini spool. You have to see the other cards she made, especially the one using their custom floral rose ribbon!

Heather Hudson made this pretty card using the April Ribbons with a sunflower image from our Flowers Printable Download.

Jenn Cochran made 2 adorable Easter cards including this one using Bunny Hop Digital Stamp Set using a fun bright color palette.

You can see all 3 pretty samples by Teresa Horner and I love how she added the flowers and ribbon on this card so they look like they are in the basket

Our DT Leader Kathy Clement  designed this pretty altered shadow box as she is also on the RRR Design Team. She used paper and images from our Typography CD 3 (the banner and Happy Thought Bird) as well as the 2 corner images and stamps from our Birds and Blossoms 4 page Download . She has a tutorial on the banner with many more photos and like she says, the best part about using the printable images is you can re-size them to fit all sorts of projects.

Our Past DT Member Cherry Nelson is on the RR Design Team and she made a stunning baby album using the April Ribbon Pack with our Baby Girl Printable Download.

I had to show you this page as it has one of my my fave baby images with the stork we adapted from an antique baby book.  All the colors Cherry used look so pretty and go together so well.

Amber Milone created this pretty birthday card using the pink Gerber Daisy from our Flowers Printable Download and the Birthday Blessings sentiment form our Little Blessings Scraps.

Look at this beautiful card Bonnie Garby created also using the robin image from our Flowers Printable Download (on sale for $1.95).  I'm in love with her perfect double bow!

Our DT Member Elizabeth Lincoln created this beautiful birdy card using some of the ribbon with our Sing For Joy Digital Stamp Set. Wow - love how she cut it out!

I also had to share this cute card that Elizabeth made before with our Fishing Buds Clear Stamps (we still have a few sets) that I spotted on the Splitcoast Stampers site. You can see other fabulous cards in the Splitcoast Crafty Secrets Gallery.  Check out Sophie La Fontaine's cute ladybug card.

Don't forget to check out our April Linky Party and you can download the 2 free printables if you join in and post a sample. Plus - you will be eligible to win our $25.00 Digital Gift Certificate (or you can pick $15.00 in mail order).

Okay, I finally have a bunch of photos to show you from the little store our warehouse has moved to in Bellingham WA.  Lyssa my shipper is running the store and shipping our orders from there and it's such a cute store!

Lyssa is also selling jewelry for owner Stacia from Red Barn Jewelry as she is expecting her first baby and her husband was just transferred so they had to move.

Here's Stacia's jewelry which is so pretty

There is a huge assortment of goodies in the store besides our Crafty Secrets items - which are all on clearance for the same price in the store as our online store, plus my antique oak sideboard, mirror stand, table, books, old postcards, letterpress alphabet letters, a bunch of my mom's antique china, glassware and so much more!

As you can see the space is small and we are there until Stacia's lease is up the end of June and then if it's working well Lyssa may lease the store and I will consign stock and items to her.

I love the skinny runway windows and believe it was originally a clothing store.

What is coming next?  We will have a new Hardware Digital Stamp Set next week that is amazing. Also our Garden Scraps, Mini Vintage Scraps and Vintage Photo Scraps are all being turned into Digital Download Items as some Creative Scraps are sold out, very low, or only available in single sided now.

Also, our Etsy Store will be back up and running this week and some old and used items will be added as well as all our regular sale stuff. I'm just in the process of adding items but there are 100's so be patient.

Wishing you all a wonderful week!
Sandy Redburn
