Next week there will be more NEW Surprises!

Here is our New SL40 Wizard of Oz Set!

SL40 Wizard of Oz is a 6x8 large Clear Art Stamp set with 21 separate stamps. Wonderfully nostalgic, these beautiful stamps will take you back over the rainbow while you create fun cards with sayings like “Are you a Good Witch or a Bad Witch?”, “We’re off to see the Wizard”, We’re not in Kansas anymore”, “It’s all about the Shoes”, and of course, “There’s No Place Like Home”. The largest stamp in the set is the lovable Tin Man at 3.25 x 1.50” who has a hanging heart to hold. The scarecrow has a diploma and the Lion has a crown of COURAGE. Dorothy and Toto are on the fence to watch over their friends. Clear Art Stamps inspire creativity with detailed vintage designs & images crafted in the USA from high quality photopolymer.

Look at these fantastic cards that DT Alumni Member Lisa Zappa created with this set!   Some of these samples will be featured on the Display Postcards retailers will receive with their Show Special. Click on to see larger.

Here Lisa's card with the Lion wearing his crown

On this card she stamped the Scarecrow with his diploma and
a sentiment stamp from our Card Sentiments set

On this card Lisa has the Tin Man holding his heart medal.
The friendship sentiment is from this set. The Jewel stamp is from Card Sentiments

On this card Lisa used the Dorthy and Toto stamp with the sign post and a sentiment

Here are a few different styles she did. Love the red glitter!

DT member Pam Hooten designed this card and
I love the classy colors and combos she used

Pam also created this fun little Oz folding card blooklet
and she will be posting details on her blog soon

Here is SS20 Wonderful Pig a 3 x 4” small Clear Art Stamp Set with 2 separate stamps and one really cute pig!  It could be a bashful boy or girl piggie and they have just picked a daisy in a meadow. The detailed trees, grass and flowers make this set even more interesting and fun to stamp and color. The sentiment “Have a Wonderful Day” is designed on a slight whimsical curve and is meant to work for a variety of wonderful cards. Clear Art Stamps inspire creativity with detailed vintage designs & images crafted in the USA from high quality photopolymer.

Look at this adorable card Liza Zappa made with this set!  Please let me know if you like this artwork as I have lots more! Also, what animals would you like to see the most?

CHA Peek Preview, Tutorials and More!

Hello Everyone,

We have been so busy getting ready for our Online Trade Show (a private link retailers can access) this Monday, Jan 17 to Feb2/11.  Our new stamps and Creative Scraps will start shipping the first week in Feb!  If you have a favorite store please tell them to sign up for our Trade Show Party on the wholesale section of our website. This is our first time not exhibiting at the CHA Show I want to help store owners because I'm concerned about how many are struggling... read below

Every month I hear about more stores closing and it is so sad that we have lost so many great stores! One of my favorite things to do is go check out cool stores and get inspired. Just imagine how dull it would be if all we had was big box stores and all the funky little hometown shops were gone!  So I decided to take a bunch of the money we saved (not exhibiting at CHA) and and instead, we are using the savings to build an online wholesale store to streamline ordering and start some promotions to help stores sell more product.

Of course we will have great CHA Show Specials with free product but one of the new things we are doing is introducing Color Display Postcards that stores can hang next to some of our Clear Art Stamps! The first in the series of Display Postcards (I’m excited they will be double sided color) will include 3 of our new Clear Art Stamp sets: SL39 Tea With Alice, SL37 Farm Chicks and SL31 Artsy Banners, plus 3 long time favorites: SM12 Bird Notes, SL04 Kitchen Classics and SL10 Sew Special. There will be several more to follow!

Plus – stores will get online tutorials, see inspiring samples (okay – I will post them here on the blog as well) and each month there will be a printable project sheet (just for stores) that they can use in classes and demos. We will also be doing random draws for Gift Certificates each day from store orders placed.

So, I admit I’m a little worried about not attending CHA but I hope stores will hear about our desire to help them and I would truly appreciate if you could pass the message on to your favorite retailer!

Talking about 'tutorials' , here is a fantastic one that DT member Michele Kovack created using a Faux Tile technique and look at how fabulous this card is!  She used SM35 Floral Art, (a new stamp set available in Feb).  Here is the link to Michele's blog, where you can also see the other tile card she created using a stamp from our SL24 Seasonal Friends Stamp set HERE on Michele's Blog.

Look at this card DT leader Heidi Blankenship created using the Rooster and 'Best of Cluck' stamps from our SL37 Farm Chicks set. I love the way she colored some of the checks in blue so it ties in the color of her cardstock. You can get details HERE on Heidi's Blog.

DT leader Vicki Chrisman has been busy creating all sorts of projects including some adorable gift box projects for Accucut and she made this cool sewing kit with a purse die! She used our Sew Nice Creative Scraps and because they are double sided you can make the little folding needle case and have a pretty double sided tag.  You can see more photos on Vicki's Blog HERE and check out the super cool ICE Wreath by filling an old bunt tin with water, cranberries and greenery!  Only works if you have icy cold weather and she is snowed in. See her 'Cute Kitchen post' HERE.

I adore these fairy bottles that Nathalie Kalbach from scrapbooktrends.com got published in a Stampington Magazine. She used our Altered Fairy Scraps and I love that they featured the little 'Party Pooper girl'!  Nat is close friends with DT leader Vicki Chrisman and lives in Germany and when we do CHA Shows we always get together.  Too bad we won't see her this time!  She is a true artist, trend setter and amazing photographer!

I will be back with a post on Monday and I think you will love what I have to share!

Wishing you joy & creativity

Great Layout Using Artsy Banner Stamps & Update on Shop Hop Sale

Happy New Year!

Okay, this is the most posting I've ever done and I will be taking a break but I wanted to show you this wonderful surprise I found in my email box this morning. DT leader (and dear friend) Vicki Chrisman made me this gorgeous layout of Scott & I for my birthday. She designed it using our Artsy Banner Clear Art Stamp set and I LOVE it!

I begged her to explain some of the techniques she used, like the text edges and she was sweetie and it's all posted HERE on Vicki's Blog!  Plus you can see some close up photos of the stamping, how she created the flower and she even drew a little flower pattern with leaves you can use.  I love how she used the stamps, the colors, sparkle, flower - it's all perfect!

Vicki did the layout above with a couple of photos of my honey Scott & I (for 32 yrs!) taken from a family photo shoot we did in the Fall.  This one is also one of my favorites with our 3 girls, their boyfriends and the doggies. It poured rain and we had to take them all under a canopy and we almost cancelled. I'm so glad we just did it. At least west coast weather makes it nice and green!

Our Shop Hop Sale ended yesterday and it was an enormous success!
I still have some emails to send with the link to the printable files (from Dec 30 & 31) but a few people said my email went to their Junk Mail Folder, so double check if you haven't received it.

PS - If you're wondering about my Bubble Blowing Game' at our party last night, the bubbles I bought at the dollar store were a failure!  I bought mini bottles and the little blowers were so small they didn't blow big or far! The 'Guess My Name' label game was still the big hit.

Thanks for the nice birthday wishes!

Watch for New Sneak Peeks Coming Soon!

Happy New Years Eve Everyone!

Final day of our Shop Hop Sale & Special Offer
See Marcy's Splitcoast Challenge 'Bling in the New Year!'
See Our Contest Entries and 3 Winner Tie
Free Printable New Years Poem and 1887 Winter Amusements!

Today is the final day of our Shop Hop Sale which runs until midnight tonight. Each year we take part in this event with Splitcoast Stampers and offer fun specials with free shipping all week in our online store. Plus – every customer will be emailed a special download link to some free goodies that will be on our new Creating with Vintage Designs CD's! See details HERE.

Besides getting the link to our digital promo, any orders over $15.00 placed today will also receive a free sheet of our Vintage Photo Creative Scraps and orders over $50.00 can choose 1 item between 19 of our Small Clear Art Stamp Sets or 9 Vintage Booklets! * Please add your choice to message box in the online store if you qualify.

Being New Years Eve, I wanted to show you this gorgeous card Marcy Talbert created for the current 'Bringing in the Bling' challenge she is hosting over at Splitcoast Stampers. She wants you to post any projects using Crafty Secrets that you have embellished with any kind of 'bling'. So pull out the glitter and rhinestones and join in the fun! You can check out the Gallery HERE.  Marcy used an image from our Seasonal Booklet to create this pretty card.

The hardest thing to do was choose the winners for our contest there were so many fabulous samples! There were 29 entries so I asked for help and took lots of votes and we had a tie.  Cindy Holshouser, Jan Hennings and Christine Nay each won a $25.00 gift certificate but really there were so many close ones it was painful.

This lovely card was submitted by Cindy Holshouser using the robin from our Birds & Blossoms Scraps, Hello stamp from Bouquets of Joy and rose paper from our Classic Paper Pad.

Jan Henning submitted 2 samples, a drawer she altered to hold some of her favorite cards and this cool house she created with a yardstick and then decorated with our Altered Fairy Scraps and Birdies Stamp Set.

Christine Nay won for her beautiful card using our Seaside Clear Art Stamps. Very pretty pallet of colors, great bow, matting and coloring job!

Now for our News Years gift to you... I wanted to have a nice poem and something fun. Just right click on the poem below with your mouse a couple of times to the largest size and then left click your mouse on it to save this sweet poem to a picture file and print it full or card size
I love old books and these pages from an 1887 pastimes book have such delightful writing it makes me want to go check out their parties and get in on their parlor games! The bubble blowing game (see the 3rd page illustration) sounds like so much fun I bought bubbles at the dollar store tonight when we went to get New Years decorations. I love party games and plan to set up some 'bubble goal posts' at our New Years party and have a little bubble blowing competition!  Are you doing anything fun to bring in the New Year? I'm a new years baby, and will turn 53 at midnight - eek! I'm just happy
 I'm almost finished menopause!

We usually play the 'Guess Who I Am?' game by writing famous names on blank labels and I stick them on every one's back and they can only ask yes or no questions until they get it.  Am I a man or woman? Am I an actor, rock star, cartoon character, etc.

My daughter Chelsea gave me a game called 'Say Anything' for Christmas that is filled with fun questions and gets everyone talking and debating the answers and I think it will be fun. I thought I would set up the bubble blowing game on our island and hopefully dollar store bubbles actually work!  This page with the cute kids will get big if you click it on but I did the above text pages in lower resolution.

I want to wish you much love and joy and prosperity in 2011!  Thank you all so much for your support. I'm so excited about everything new we have in store for 2011 and all the creative adventures ahead!

I want to show you some samples DT leader Vicki Chrisman made today using designs included in our free promo that all Shop Hop orders will be emailed. There are 8 separate files in the download. I've held off emailing it out as I wanted to show some ideas first of what you can do. Vicki just opened the Damask jpg file and printed the design on white cardstock for this LO and used other supplies from her craft room along with paper from our Classic Paper Pad, assorted Artsy Banner stamps and our ABC Top Hat Alphabet stamps.

Here she printed the same damask design onto some colored cardstock. Imagine the black on red for Christmas or Valentines and the versatility to print on various mediums such as fabric or vellum! Most photoshop type programs will also allow you to change the black to a custom color. There will be several designs on the first CD; Creating with Vintage Papers including more damasks, sheet music, text, florals, etc. as well as basic instructions, inspiring samples and tips & tricks. Available for sale mid February with a Typography and Image CD's to follow.

All of the new CD's we are working on will also include templates and patterns for creating all sorts of fun projects. On the free download there is a card template for a A4 size bulky cards as well. You can print the template on the back of any pattern paper or cardstock you have printed to make it easy to cut out.

On this sample, Vicki printed the Aged Birdy Sheet Music on white paper to decorate a plain book cover and added ribbon and a rose. There is a jpg and a png of this design on the download. Both file types will be on these CD's as digi scrappers like png files because you can make them transparent. See png files explained on Wikipedia.

Here are a few more peeks and some of the design are in both card and page size.

This has been a crazy hectic week with our sale, limited staff and working on new product releases and I apologize for not emailing every person back.

NEWS: This will be our first time not to attending the CHA Wholesale Show in Los Angeles as I've decided to take a stand and protest the high drayage charges and other excessive exhibitor costs. (over $700.00 drayage just to bring 2 skids from the shipping door to our booth), not to mention the shipping from WA to CA and back, airfare, hotel, staff, etc. seems a bit ridiculous. We are going invest the savings into several promotions to help retailers.

We’ve been exhibitors at the show for 7 years so this was not an easy decision. We will be hosting a Crafty Secrets Online Wholesale Trade show Jan 17 to Feb 2, 2011 with fabulous Show Specials, free printable projects, an online class, videos and more! I would be so grateful if you passed the date on to your favorite retailer!

We do really want to support the retailers we sell to, so you can also buy our products from your favorite retailer and fax or email us a receipt (before Jan 1, 2011) and we will email you the free digital download file.

Okay, to finish off I have a fantastic sample to share with you that DT member Pam Hooten just sent me.  Look at the rooster card she created with our new Farm Chicks Clear Art Stamp Set! You can see the card and get the details HERE on Pam's Blog.

See you again tomorrow!
