Design Team Bird Challenge & Giveaway!

Today is our Crafty Secrets Design Team Bird Challenge plus I have a great giveaway filled with a bunch of our products with a bird theme! Please click these links to visit each of the our Design Team ladies BIRD projects!

I love this altered frame DT member Vicki Chrisman created from a plastic frame she got at the dollar store. The image is from our Birds & Botanical Booklet



This is another favorite of mine that DT member Pam Hooten designed using a wood box she embellished with paper from our Classic Paper Pad and used our Bird Lover Stamps


I sign every time I look at the pretty scene Heidi Blankenship created using a mix of our Sweet Kids Stamps and the branch with the birdies is from our Cherish Stamp Set.


Marisa Grosson stamped this fabulous card using our Bird Lover Stamp set and I'm amazed at how she cut out the leaves and did them 3D like paper tole!
I love the birds nest cone DT member Michelle Kovack created last year adding the birds on the branch she stamped from our Bird Notes Stamp Set.

I would like to introduce Florence Teixeira our new Design Team Member. She goes by Flo and lives in France and creates fabulous projects! We met through email when she was trying to order some of our products recently and I was amazed at her work and I've really wanted to add an international designer to our team so it's worked out perfectly! Flo will be getting her box of Crafty Secrets goodies next week but I did find this adorable album she had made using a mix of our Bird Notes and French Mail Stamps - the only 2 items she owns of ours. Melisa Waldorf is our guest designer for the month and I feel bad that I've been away so much I have done very many posts. In my next post I will show you some great projects Melisa has created. Look at this totally cute Thanksgiving card she did using the turkey from our Thanksgiving Stamp Set!

    I love what everyone has done with their bird themes. Fantastic art! It's hard to pick a favorite bird, since I think they all have their own little personalities. I love to watch them flock to my feeders. But if I have to pick, it would be the Goldfinch.

    This is probably not what you want to hear but my favorite bird is a Turkey!! Yummm!! I am always a little nervous around bird since I got attacked by a bluejay when I was young so my favorite now is the delicious Turkey!

    I may have to say the chickadee...it's little and sort of simple and not bright or anything but it's hardy and it's sturdy and it's built close to the ground, sort of like me! I really did have someone say that to me once and I didn't know if I should be insulted or complimented! Hugs and thanks for the opportunity to win beautiful birds.

    Fabulous ideas! I LOOOOOVE birds, so I'm very please that you featured them here. I don't have just one favourite, I love bluebirds (have yet to see one in real life!), hummingbirds, swans, chickadees and falcons! (Chickadees are just so cute!!!)

    Some amazing crafting there from the DT. My favourite bird is the blackbird. We have a pair who have been nesting in our holly bush year on year for many years. Mr Blackbird is so glossy and black with his yellow beak and Mrs Blackbird looks plump and homely with her brown plumage. The entertain us when we are at the dining table.

    Wow! Such a collection of gorgeous projects! I always love seeing what goodies your design team comes up with.
    Favorite birds include robins and cardinals...and owls!! Nothing like a wise old owl to catch my attention! We don't seem to have many of the colorful songbirds in my area so I don't really see them in person but I love them all the same!

    I just love the bird stamps from Crafty Secrets. In fact, I just finished making a set of "Birdie" note cards for holiday gifting. My favorite bird is the cardinal. Always a spot of bright color in the midst of dreary winter days.

    OMG!!!! These projects are so beautiful!!! What eye candy! I have to say one of my favorite birds are Hummingbirds, but there is this one song bird that comes to sing in our backyard during the spring and summer that I so love, but I don't know what kind of bird, but he stands on the top of the tree and sings his little heart out.     What a beautiful giveaway - I have fallen in love with your products. I was able to buy some at the Craft Expo - and the first card that I made - that very night was using a bird image from the Birds and Botanical Images and Journal Notes book. My favourite bird - hmmmm....Robins, and in winter (although, I have never seen one - a red Cardinal)

    That's a hard choice. I don't see them often but a scarlet tanager is always thrilling, and indigo buntings so, so beautiful. Of the more common ones bluejays may not be 'nice' but they are gorgeous.

    How fun to feather one's nest with such delightfully inspiring projects that each of the contributing artists have displayed!!!
    My heart thrills to see an INDIGO BUNTING on it's magically unpredictable flight. The male's purple/blue plumage is such a rare treat to see here in southern Minnesota! So very AWESOME!!

    Oh, I love birds, and I use them a lot on my projects. The Cardinal bird is my favorite. They are especially beautiful when you seen them in the winter against the white snow. I also live new St. Louis, Mo.; the home of the St. Louis Cardinals!!

    Great Projects!! My favorite bird right now is the Parrot. I just love all the vibrant colors that adorn their heads and wings. Got to go to Key West for my 50th birthday last May and there were lots of parrots down there. It was amazing.     I thought long and hard about this one as I love birds and birdwatching....but, I would have to say it is the Carolina Wren. They have such cute short little bodies and tails that jut up at a right angle. They nest in this little space between a post that supports the deck and the underneath of the deck. And they have such a neat song.

    The chickadees are my favourite bird because they so sweet and not aggressive. They just come to eat peacefully at the feeder and go home again. Everyone has made beautiful projects with birds. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration.

    Fabulous projects! Love the theme...birds...what can be more beautiful?! My favorite bird is ALL birds. lol This is a tough question!

    If I HAVE to pick one it would be the Cardinal. Fierce, territorial, secretive and beautiful. Amazing to observe their behavior.

    The Oriole comes to our house in the spring after one of our long cold bleak winters. She brings her lovely bright orange and sleek black to our deck. She then proceeds to eat all the oranges we can put out for her. She's raised many young near us and we enjoy watching her young learn to fly and enjoy watching them belligerently fight for their own territory - Nimmy

    What a great giveaway!! thanks for the opportunity. My favorite birds for crafting are robins and bluebirds. So sweet! My favorite bird to watch are the Sand Hill Cranes in Florida. If you've ever seen them you instantly fall in love. They mate for life and you can see the families walking around golf courses and just wandering down the road.

    LUV LUV LUV the projects! My signature is a bird on 100% of my scrap layouts....if it fits the theme...great...if not, there is one on the page somewhere, even if it's small and hidden. I've been doing this for years now, and 50 years from now...I hope anybody who looks at my work...will enjoy this aspect of my creations! So...I tend to invest in many bird things!!! My favorite bird...hmmmm...that's a hard one...but, living in the country...I think I enjoy watching the quail out and about. I wake up in the morning peek out my window and see a Mama Quail and her babies scooting across my front lawn...close second would be pheasants...but...I also had a peacock outside..that was interesting!!!! In my top five I would also include an Eagle...it's my son's fave...and our house is decorated with Eagles because of it!!! But...quail would be my first choice! I do like them all though.... Trudi

    We have a sweet little goldfinch who comes into our yard to feed sometimes. I think he's my favorite since his coloring is so bright and cheerful. We also have robins, nuthatches, blue jays, magpies, sparrows, crows, flickers and other birds. We like them all!

    My favorite 'bird of the moment' is a Senegal parrot we are 'bird sitting' for a friend. He is adorable, talks to me 'pretty bird, love you, Chip (his name), give me a kiss' and we have only had him a couple of weeks! He is now turning our light on and off for his latest 'trick'. What a jester!

    Well this is tough because I love all the birds. I hate to admit it, but I'm even fascinated with turkey vulchers! Watching them soar in large groups in the sky. OK, now that you think I'm weird!

    My favorite is probably the pileated woodpecker because they are so big and such a rare sight. On our old property we would hear them, but to see them was rare.

    Oooh, really sweet projects. My favorite bird is the robin...who holds the promise of hope and new beginnings. But right now I'm using owls on a lot of my cards. There are many choices available in the form of stamps, rub-ons, stickers, etc. and they are really expressive and adaptable.

    Beautiful artwork from the design team! I think Flo will be a great addition to the team--her work is lovely! I live in Florida, so my current favorite bird is the sandhill crane. We have a pair that nest near our pond every year and it's great fun to see them parading the chicks around the neighborhood every summer!

    All the projects are just TOO cute!! Such a fantastic give-a-way!!! Thank you for having it---my favorite bird would have to be these little finches which show up in the field by our cottage every year. They are an unbelievable teal which is breath-taking! I love all birds though--hubby makes birdhouses and I paint them and sell them sometimes on the side of the road!! And all birds seem to love his birdhouses, too!! Have a happy day!!

    I'm a bird lover so it's super hard to choose.... but after much thought, I've narrowed it down to two. The Sparrow and the Mockingbird. I'm a sucker for song birds :)

    My favorite bird is any woodpecker. It is rare to see them at my birdfeeder and I am so delighted when there are some feasting on the suet cakes.
