VickiChrisman It’s Vicki’s Birthday today!
My layout below is super novice and all you need to learn to do is open a piece of paper and start adding layers with matting and a main image. You can cut, copy and paste in many programs if you don't have PSE and get the same effect. Here's 2 Great Digital Tutorials by DT Member Sheila Rumney showing How to Blend and previously how to add layers using Photoshop Elements, she is way more of an expert that me!
I've called my
candle lanterns 'Luminaries' as I don't want you to think you have to have
glass sided lanterns to make these tea light candle wraps. I just
happened to have a couple of lanterns but there are all sorts of things
you can use for a candle wrap.
You just need a smooth side to wrap your printed image and a spot to put candle or battery tea lights. Look for different size jars, glasses, vases and second hand stores and dollar stores often have glass candle holders and lanterns. Luminaries are perfect for a wedding reception, anniversary party - any pretty design or photo you want to light up!

Here's my Halloween lanterns and as the paper just tucks behind the metal sides I can easily change it out to hold a Christmas photo in December or any other season or celebration. I used our Halloween CD#4 which is also available as a download or sold separately in the papers, images.
I used 3 tea lights in the big lantern.
On this page I was having so much fun adding designs I went a little nuts
I also made a side panel and added the big spider on our CD. I still have to make a back and the other side panel. I also want to take photos of my niece and nephew and make them ones with battery tea lights.
Here's a photo of both lanterns in our family room but I forgot to add my mini pumpkins. I have to brag about our beautiful oak sideboard - we found it on craigslist for $225.00. It's so solid it should last for another 100 years or more.
Here are some other luminaries ideas in lamps and candle wraps.
I made a couple of simple lampshades that hang on a wall
DT Leader Vicki Chrisman printed on tissue for a candle lantern last year
Okay, now it's your turn to enter a sample you have made using any Crafty Secrets product and you have until next Sunday night to add it below. Just click on the link. Random.org winner announced next Monday.
