New Adorable Bedtime Kids, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Kitchen Ideas

Hi Everyone,

Our Bedtime Kids Digital Stamp Set turned out so adorable and it grew to 55 stamps!
We also have a random Facebook Winner for our Vintage Santa Set Giveaway. Congratulations to Wanda Contreras Pagan!  I have a variety of samples and a link to a great article on doilies and the God Only Knows video if you haven't seen it.

There is something about the ritual of bedtime from children washing up, reading bedtime stories together and tucking the sleepy heads in that brings back so many happy memories of when my girls were little.  I'm so happy with the way this set turned out from all the adorable children to the fun and sentimental sayings,  the cute lambs and singing bed bug on page 2.  Nice faces can make or break a stamp so many of the faces were changed, some heads were replaced and 2 of the little girls became little boys (the second and third boy in row 2). The kids in the plain style pj's are perfect for re-printing on pattern papers to cut out cute pajamas.

There are babies, little boys and girls in a variety of pajama attire standing up and in beds, plus 3 tickets, 2 moons, stars, a teddy bear, tooth fairy note, a 'tooth holder label', toothbrush and toothpaste, 5 x 5" sheet music of the Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star song and a 2" x 12" starry border. There are 3 different styles of Pajama Party Invitations and several large illustrations over 5", including children's beds, a bedroom, a fairy dream and a bedtime book cover. I'm going to enlarge some of the kids, glue them to card stock and make paper dolls for my niece and nephew to color.

DT Leader Kathy Clement posted all the details on both of the pretty Christmas cards she made using our Vintage Santa Stamp Set and Christmas CD. I adore how she popped these stockings

It's almost Thanksgiving in the USA so I've added our Free Autumn Greetings Printable if you missed it.

DT Member Melody Clement sweet Thanksgiving card was created using paper and stamps from our Thanksgiving Download and I love her idea to use her  Silhouette machine to cut out the stamps she used - even those corners.  Melody also has a great Christmas Advent Calendar Tutorial with 24 little envelopes and she used her machine to cut out all the numbers.

Here are more previous Thanksgiving ideas created using the same kit and look how Vicki Chrisman made a menu card and place settings

Melody also made this cute cherry card using our Retro Kitchen Kit and added the white doily digitally over the cherry paper and popped up some of the images 3D.

The 3 doilies in both Kitchen Kits turned out so much cooler than I expected - they look so 3D and they were made from black and white drawings I sent Cindy, my graphics guru who added to textured paper. The beige are in the Kitchen Memories Kit and 3 white doilies are in the Retro Kitchen Kit. On a side note, I love doilies all all the great old patterns always wondered which was the correct way to spell doily as I've seen it spelled differently in old pattern books and I found this great Doily article from textile historian Leimomi at the Dreamstress.

Have you seen the amazing music video on Facebook of God Only Knows? It's really great!

To all of you living in the USA - have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Wishing you joy and creativity

Vintage Santa Digital Set is My New Fave Set and Just $9.95!

Hi Everyone,

Our Vintage Santa Digital Stamp Set is finally finished and includes a great mix of 30 altered, beautiful and down right funny stamps for just $9.95! This set truly was a labor of love and has some of the most amazing Santa designs adapted from old books and magazines but then depending on the image they have been repaired, altered, cut up, re-built and enhanced with a variety of designs. You can WIN this set, just leave a comment on our Nov 20 Facebook post.

Each stamp is 300 dpi/ppi and a PNG file and may of the designs are larger that would have been possible to do as regular clear stamps. There is a mix of collage style postcards, postage stamps, scenes, poems, greetings and Santa's who will be perfect to add to Christmas cards, gift tags and holiday projects! Plus all the files are re-sizeable, you can flip the direction or crop and erase parts, layer them, print on pattern paper to paper piece and print your favorite designs over and over!

I apologize for the delay again. Cindy, my graphic designer's husband has been very ill and he's in the hospital and she was working from there when possible and then her laptop broke so we got behind.   I use to just organize and clean up images but I've been improving my Photoshop skills and creating many more designs and it's exciting to make the ideas in your head actually work like finally be able to use my funny little Santa with the scissors I found in an old ad, or sticking Santa's head coming out of the fireplace in the cute 3.5" x 5" image of the girls hanging their stockings.

Cindy did an amazing job layering the designs and rocked them like the 2 postcards which are 4.5" x 7.5" or some of the jumbo sized collage art designs.

You are going to see a bunch of fantastic samples coming as our Design Team have this set now, plus all the ladies who entered our Nov Linky Party received this set for FREE!  See what you missed, but it's only $9.95 which is an amazing deal for 30 detailed art stamps of this quality and size!

DT Leader Kathy Clement is going to be posting details on how she created each of these cards on her blog this Monday, Nov 24/14 but I have to show you a peek.

Congratulations to  random.org winner #12 Cynthia who won a $40.00 gift card in our Nov Linky Party. Also a big thank you to all the players, the entries were really creative and look fabulous!  They all won their choice of our Vintage Santa Digital Stamp Set or Bedtime Kids Set.

Here is an updated Draft of Bedtime Kids, it's almost done, I just need to do the expressions. Cindy is amazing at Photoshop and was able to remove the semi okay kid from a bed and add the really cute little PJ girl - in the second design. We have been chopping up and changing the designs to make them cooler and ours, so several have different heads or something new. I still need to remove the pom poms from the little boy's slippers (who use to be a little girl).

Look at these sweet Christmas baking tags DT Member Diane Hoover created using Retro Kitchen and Kitchen Memories Kits!  The little girl in the red dress is off the Retro Kitchen Kit and the sweet girl with the bread is from our Kitchen Memories Kit. You can see every design included in both kits in our craftyvintagegirl.com store, as well as the matching Kitchen Queen Digital Stamps and Vintage Kitchen Digi Stamps.

Check out this beautiful Santa card by DT Member Michele Kovack she made using our old Vintage Christmas Digital Set (now sold out and in digital). I can hardly wait to see what Michele creates with our new Vintage Santa Digital Stamps!

How about this cute and clever Christmas Treat Box by Guest DT Birgit Norton that she created using paper and images from our Retro Christmas CD.

There are more exciting things in the works that I will be sharing soon!

Wishing you joy and creativity

Vintage and Retro DT Kitchen Projects and More!

Hi Everyone,

I have some fabulous Kitchen projects to share today, plus thanksgiving and some uplifting cards. Don't forget you still have until Sunday 12 midnight to enter our Nov Linky Party and everyone will receive either our Vintage Santa or Bedtime Kids Stamp Set - you can sneak a peek here also scroll to end of this post.

DT Member Darlene Pavlick created this awesome recipe album but I made a mistake and labeled a file wrong for our DT ladies that is included on a CD in our Cooking/Family Sale Pack so Darlene thought it was all in our Kitchen Memories Kit. In the end the few kitchen theme papers we started designing kept growing and became 2 Kits - Kitchen Memories and Retro Kitchen Kit

This is actually the cover I made for the kit but I love how it looks on Darlene's album so I'm going to include it in the kit and I will email it to everyone who ordered the Kitchen Memories Kit so far and get my web master to update the online download with the high resolution 12 x 12" copy.

The funny face dishware and polka dot paper are in our Retro Kitchen Kit but most of the other supplies used are from Kitchen Memories

You can see the other pages included in this charming recipe album on Darlene's Blog.

Our Guest DT Member this month Birgit Norton used our Kitchen Memories Kit to make this sweet combo set with a card and a kitchen folder to hold recipes, shopping lists, coupons, etc. You can see more photos and details on Birgit's Blog.

DT Member Sheila Rumney created this wonderful kitchen table layout using the Kitchen Memories Kit. You can see several Digital Tutorials on Sheila's Blog showing all sorts of techniques like the blending she used here.

DT Member Melody Clement stitched up this homemade gift tag using the Kitchen Memories Kit  that would be perfect to tie on any gift from the kitchen.

Look at this pretty Christmas card by DT Member Shantaie Fowler she created using one of the doilies and some roses from our Kitchen Memories Kit and she die cut them both using her Silhouette  Machine.

This is the cover that I made for our Retro Kitchen Kit and I got a little more carried away and tried to show all the papers plus all the fun printables included.

Look at this super cute apron card by DT Member Diane Hoover she created using the Retro Kitchen Kit and the utensils are from our new Kitchen Queen Digital Stamp Set that goes so well with the kit. The utensils in the digital stamp set are big, many over 4" so they can be a focal point on a card but look how Diane has shrunk them and the pot holder stamp down and colored them.

Sheila Rumney also created some lovely uplifting cards using images from our Altered Fairy Scraps and you can see the other pretty bird card on her blog.

DT Leader Kathy Clement was away at a annual craft show she exhibits at and made up this pretty thanksgiving card ahead using an image from our Seasonal Booklet and papers from CD # 2 Illustrations.

Okay, I can't stand it, I have to show you a peek at how the Vintage Santa Digital Stamp Set is coming along and I would also like to ask your opinion. if you think it's okay to add a Christmas star behind Santa or is that offensive? This set and Bedtime Kids will be ready next week as my graphics designer Cindy has been at the hospital all week with her husband who is ill.

Wishing you joy and creativity

Welcome to Our November Linky Party, DT Christmas Challenge and New Retro Card Set

Hi Everyone and welcome to our Nov Linky Party and DT Challenge. This month our Design Team  is doing a Christmas theme and I even joined in and played, plus we have Guest DT this month Birgit Nelson joining us!  Any theme is okay if you want to join our Linky Party which runs until Mon., Nov 17/14. See details below on what you can win and also a link to our Blog Giveaway!

Please visit each of the Design Team Members Blogs to get all the details on their projects

Birgit did a wonderful tutorial on making Button Cards using our Retro Christmas CD
and has created many samples to inspire you!

I love the chalkboard look and last year I did a tutorial on inverting some of our stamps on our Winter Wishes Digital Set. This year I played with our Christmas Express Digital Set and used a 4" x 6" piece the green chalkboard paper from our Chalkboard Paper Set - which I've made our FREE Gift this month when you place any order in our www.craftyvintagegirl.com store.   I hope you will try it out as many photo editing programs have a 'Invert' button and it's so easy to just hit your back button if you don't like anything and try again. You can see below I left 3 in black and inverted all the rest which turns them into white and I just added them to the green 'postcard back'. You can see I had to copy the border of the kids and paste it on again.

You can find the 'Invert' button under the 'Filter' Tab, and then under 'Adjustments'.

As soon as you click it on your image will invert and it can be a little hard to see the white but it will show up as soon as you place it on a darker background and then you can move it around, re-size and tilt the direction if you like.

Next, I left them in plain black on this photo from my sundeck a few years ago. This photo doesn't go in the right direction but I wanted some snow to add the snowman and girl to.

Here's the sample I did last year and a longer tutorial explaining more details.

Here is a new card set called Retro Kitchy Ad Cards  and you can enter our Blog Giveaway and see all our NEW Kitchen Kits and Digital stamp sets and just leave a comment and say which style you like best - the Retro or the old Vintage? 2 lucky random.org winners will receive the one they pick with both the Kit and Stamp Set and I will add this set of cute printable cards!

Okay, now it's time where you can enter our Nov Linky Party and automatically WIN either our coming soon Vintage Santa Digital Stamp Set, or Bedtime Kids Stamps.  Both will be large sets and filled with a mix of great art and words.

Wishing you joy and creativity
