We also have a really exciting announcement to share with you as we have added a new face to our design team. Teresa Horner has joined our ranks! Many of you are probably already familiar with her beautiful blog, Victorian Paper Queen, but for those of you who haven't met her yet, you are going to love her work.
Teresa designs for Spellbinders, Really Reasonable Ribbon and several other teams. She loves to create and has been doing artsy things all her life. She loves to draw, paint, make jewelry and especially create with paper. She loves history and enjoys traveling around the world to see other places and meet new people. She is an avid photographer, gardener, and also loves to sew. Teresa is such a fun-loving and talented person, and I know you are going to love her magical paper creations. Here's a sample of a project she made for a recent Crafty Secrets/Really Reasonable Ribbon cross-promotional.
Be sure to welcome Teresa to the Crafty Secrets family! We are so excited to have her join us!
Now, on to the design team samples. This challenge snuck up on our team, but the girls all managed to create some wonderful cards and projects to inspire you. Michele Kovack and Gloria Stengel are unable to join us this month.
I used the new Pastel Tile Papers, Digital Vintage Garden Scraps and ephemera from the Typography CD to create a layered, feminine card. You can read how I chose the color palette on my blog, Kathy by Design.
Darlene Pavlick is getting ready for wedding season! She also used the pastel tile papers along with our beautiful Vintage Photo Scraps to create a romantic mini album. This tile paper looks 3-D..and when I first saw Dar's pretty project, I thought she had used an embossing folder! It's amazing!
You can read all the details on her blog, Dar's Crafty Creations.
Diane Hover's project is going to make your mouth water! It features ripe, red strawberries from our Digital Vintage Garden Creative Scraps. Her cheery gingham papers are from our Kitchen Memories Digital Download. I love her photo with that red rooster peeking out from behind the card! You can satisfy your craving for strawberries with the wonderful recipe for Strawberry Pie that she shares on her blog, Nellie's Nest.
I have always wanted to know how to watercolor, and when I saw Elizabeth Lincoln's gorgeous watercolor roses, I was completely blown away. She shares wonderful tips for painting digitally printed images on her blog, Paper Pass Times.
Ginny Nemchack captured sunshine and glued it to this bright and beautiful layered card. She used the sunflower images from Vintage Garden Scraps and papers from Creating with Retro Christmas CD #5. It's good to remember that our Christmas, Halloween and Thanksgiving kits contain wonderful papers that can be used all through the years. Ginny will show you how she built her card when you visit her blog, Polly's Paper Studio.
Melody Clement stitched her heart out on this great vintage card that uses a darling couple from our Digital Vintage Photo Creative Scraps. If you want to learn how she created her wonderful frame, be sure to visit her blog, Paper Melody's.
Shantaie Fowler created the cutest tags ever by combining images from our Digital Mini Creative Scraps with vintage buttons and button cards. I love the sweet color palette she used, and you can see more pretty tags and get instructions for how to make your own at Inking Pink.
Sheila Rumney has created a card that is gloriously soft, feminine and vintage. She also used our Vintage Photo Creative Scraps along with our Digital Sewing papers. Don't you just love that vintage lace? Read all about the creation of this card at Sheila Rumney Design and Photography.
The newest member of our team, Teresa Horner has a beautiful Mother's Day altered box to share with you. She used our Little Blessings Creative Scraps and the wonderful crackle textured paper from our Digital Radiant Paper Collection. You can learn all her tips and techniques at Victorian Paper Queen.
A little gift from Sandy if you place any order in our www.CraftyVintageGirl.com Store until May 11/15 you can add this fun Retro Mother's Day Card to your basket for free! After it will become part of the Retro Cards Ad Collection for $3.50 that will include 3 printable cards and inside sentiments.
To encourage you to play along in our Linky Party, we are providing a free digital image and paper. Just click on the image, download and save to your computer. You can use these images in your Linky Party Project if you would like to, but it's not required. As long as you feature Crafty Secrets products you are eligible to win.
This sweet image is taken from our Digital Garden Creative Scraps. I simply cropped the image and sized it for you to use. Please remember - this image and the paper are only for people who want to join in our Linky Party.
On behalf of Sandy Redburn, I wish you joy and creativity!
