BOO-tiful Halloween Projects and a Blog Candy GIVEAWAY!

Hello, Friends!

As I write this, autumn leaves are falling and the landscape outside is changing from summer to autumn.  I love this time of year as there are so many fun holidays on the horizon.  First up, of course is Halloween!  I've seen this holiday evolve from a very child oriented celebration to a time when grown-ups really get into the Halloween spirit with fun parties, costumes and special foods.  So today's post will be filled with BOO-tiful Halloween samples from our design team.

In our area, people are starting to get their Halloween decorations out of the attic or garage to set the stage for ghoulish good times.  Teresa Horner has prepared some tantalizing party treats using templates, images and papers from our fabulous Creating with Vintage Halloween CD #4.

https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xap1/v/t1.0-9/12009576_1038948776136863_678989976136960820_n.jpg?oh=bbecf6e56b87d8b67cef27d23964cecb&oe=569A1412

If you are hosting a party, this CD is loaded with fun templates like the spooky house and the popcorn container.  We've done all the designing for you: all you have to do is print, cut score and glue together.  The house could be filled with candy and used as a party favor. It is sooo cute!

To welcome her guests, Teresa created this too cute to spook door hanger with layered Halloween papers, a printable image and pretty ribbon.

Creating With Vintage Halloween CD #4 is loaded with 44 designer papers, 12 easy to print and use templates, more than 100 high resolution color/black and white images like the ones you see here.   You can put together the cutest Halloween party on the block with the goodies you'll find here.

Teresa has had loads of fun with this CD, and put together another frightfully fun ensemble that also used images from our Vintage Halloween Image and Journal Booklet.  She has all the details and close up photos on her BLOG so I know you will want to check them out.

I just have to show you how cute our Trick or Treat candy box is.  I need to make some of these with the grand girls so they can give them to their special friends!  Again, you just print, cut out, score and glue together...easy peasy!

Ok, the card is so darling, I have to show it to you as well.  The image is from our Halloween Image and Journal Notes Booklet, which is on sale for just $2.95.  Each booklet contains 32 8" x 3" pages filled with adorable vintage images like the one on this pretty card.

I love to find odd items at thrift stores and yard sales and then upcycle them into home decor.  I found this round black bank on a shelf in the Closet of Shame.  The cute images from our newly released Digital Vintage Halloween Scraps and  Halloween Time Heartwarming Vintage Cuts turned it into this not too creepy witches cauldron.  The little ghosts are made from cheesecloth, and when I share this project on my BLOG on October 2nd, I'll show you how to make them.

Look at this fun Spooky Time card Teresa made using papers from Creating with Vintage Halloween CD and our all new DIGITAL Vintage Halloween Creative Scraps.  The download comes with 4 pages of fun vintage images like the one Teresa used HERE as well as fun tickets, ephemera bits and backgrounds.  It's one of my favorite Halloween goodies in Sandy's Trick or Treat bag!

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh80zVebM_rnwkO-5C3jxXhk_5GI3BVRArIj0aSs1FUNZ4X_qml_rhumaT9wVAY5xuQTU-8I5jAea6oLkONpLiQhBT7NCpuPs02ILUrRGtJk_h0tsz0L-IT30TWtuEAoLcf48Kggzi4-3s/s400/RRR+Spooky+Time+card.png

I love a good pocket card, stuffed with tags, gift cards or individually wrapped chocolates.  It's such a fun gift to give and receive.  Design team member Ginny Nemchak pulled together this fun, interactive Halloween pocket using the same Creating with Vintage Halloween CD.   I love those witches on the tags!
https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/v/t1.0-9/12003310_995176383867734_5841007489611555339_n.jpg?oh=0194d2afd9749279f6bad6396fda96cd&oe=569D4F58

Ginny loves Halloween, and comes up with so many great ways to decorate.  Look at this SPOOK-tacular piece of home decor using more images from this amazing CD.  I love the way she added the moon face to the tart tin and think this would look great in a fall mantel display.
https://pollyspaper.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/halloween-stand-display-1.jpg

Speaking of home decor, I'm going to share a sneaky peek at a totally adorable Halloween banner that Teresa will be sharing on her blog next week on the 29th.  She made it using images from our Digital Halloween Printables and papers from that fantastic Halloween CD I keep talking about!  I hope I don't get rocks in my Trick or Treat bag for sharing this before she does, but it's just so CUTE, I can't help myself!

https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xaf1/v/t1.0-9/12039609_1038952882803119_8497319629759349362_n.jpg?oh=a9088826f64902cb690fcd60e199a0c2&oe=56AB16AF

I also love the Halloween BINGO cards that come on the Halloween CD and in the Jumbo Halloween Digital Download.  I used them as photo mounts in my ghoulish Halloween Book Case Mini Album, and I'll show you what that looks like on the inside.  But first, here's a look at the cover of this frightfully fun album.
This box was a perfume gift box that I altered with the papers and images from the Jumbo Halloween Digital Download.  This is very similar to the CD, but you can download it right to your computer and there's no shipping cost!  Gotta love that!  I also used a lot of the images from the Halloween Digital Creative Scraps.  Here's a peeky at the inside.

The right hand side contains an accordion fold album, and you can see how I used the BINGO cards as photo mounts and as pockets, too.  I've tucked tags and other goodies behind or on the side, making this an interactive album.  It's the perfect spot to display all those fun Halloween costume photos!  You can find more photos and info on my BLOG.

Diane Hover made a great Fright Night card using the Halloween CD and Halloween Images and Journal Notes.   The googly eyeballs in the trees are such a fun addition, as are the tree branches.  You can get all the details on Diane's BLOG

Dar used our Halloween Images and Journal Notes Booklet to cook up a Clean and Layered Halloween card that uses a great fall color scheme.

https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpl1/t31.0-8/s960x960/12031348_10153214084457297_1321304625212178872_o.jpg

And I just have to show you these amazing ribbon wands that Ginny made using papers and images from the Halloween CD.  These would be so much fun at a party!  They are fab-BOO-luss!  Ginny will be sharing all the details on her BLOG on October 2nd.

 https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xap1/v/t1.0-9/12011169_1003247329727306_484584101665683112_n.jpg?oh=b69061e557aed23510355b8b38151a65&oe=56604A5B

Owner Sandy Redburn previously used the Halloween CD to create these fun Luminary Lamps and I wanted to include them to show how the images light up when printed on copy paper or vellum.

wow, wow, wow, and then double wow for every one of those projects! just gorgeous work by the team!

for the past 12+ years we have gotten together with a friend for a 'Hot Dog House' the night of trick-or-treating. we give out freshly grilled hot dogs, hot cocoa, water, and chips to everyone in our little town who stops by, all for freebies. the grill is set up right on the front lawn. it is so much fun and people have come to expect a stop at the Hot Dog House to take a little break from the candy gathering to chat with neighbors and friends. kids away at school even come back to take part. it's pretty cool! :)

Your DT is super talented! These projects are Wow, Wow, and more Wow! We live out in a rural area so it's always quiet for Halloween. Nothing overly exciting at our house, but we have a lot of fun giving out treats to whoever stops in, and I like to dress up in one of my cat costumes. Thank you for the AWESOME giveaway! I would love to win the digital prize.

Wow what awesome projects and tons of inspiration!!!! I am definitely in Halloween mode now!!! I have gotten some awesome ideas from all the gorgeous projects that the design team showcased! Lovely images overall and some of those papers are Fabulous!!! Thank you for this giveaway! My Halloween tradition is to get dressed up along with my daughter and together we meet at my sister's house. My sister and her two children get dressed up as well. Together, we all go out trick-or-treating together with our night sticks. The best part of the night is watching the kids go knocking to get their treats and to hear the clatter and laughs of all walking the streets around us on such a wonderful, eery fall night. ..... and I wouldn't mind having the traditional set!
Hugs,
Jo

Amazing ideas and such nice & spooky images for Halloween. LOVE! My favorite tradition is to make a meatloaf shaped like a human head with boiled eggs cut in half for the eyes and maybe a knife plunged into the forehead with some ketchup blood! Bean sprouts or spinach made ghoulish hair. My son thought this was the coolest! So hard to pick between traditional and digital but I do love the idea of never running out of images so I'd have to go with digital.

I love vintage Halloween stuff so much! Thanks for all the wonderful ideas from your team for inspiration. I have had my decorations up for a few weeks already :) I think my favorite tradition is getting together with the grand kids and taking them trick or treating. I love to watch them playing dress up. They are still so little but in a few years they wont want grandma along. They grow so fast. I would be traditional. Thanks for a chance to win.

We live out in the country so we don't get any visits on Halloween night. I like to make unusual shaped Halloween cards and send them to all our family. The stranger the better. I would like the traditional please. But you can send me the digital too!

I always listen to my Vincent Price CD and buy waaaaay to much candy!! I also love to buy candy corn and mix then with peanuts.

LeAnne said...

We don't get any trick-or-treaters because we live in the country too, like Margie! So my favorite tradition is carving out jack-o-lanterns and putting them on our porch. Nobody sees them but us, but it's still fun! And I have lots of Halloween decorations that I like to arrange around the house, and that makes me happy! I love Halloween! And I love CS stuff, in fact, I already have that cute little stamp set, to have it digital so I could re=size it would be awesome!

I love going to our local bonfire and getting hot chocolate. I love Halloween and all the kids dressed up. Not as many as the years before but still we get a few. It's nice to see the parents out and dressed up too.
What a great package and thank you so much for the chance to win such a great one!!!
Happy Halloween :)

We go to a bonfire/hayride/potluck with a neighboring church. It's a 20 year tradition. Along with cooking hot dogs and smores on the fire, there's always pinatas and hayrides in the spooky tree farm for the kids and lots of food and fellowship for all-it's an activity I look forward to each year. The traditional set is right up my alley -vintage and not too spooky-luv it all!

Debra Mann said...

My kids are to big to go trick or treating now, so I take my niece and nephew to my friends parents house. They have small kids and we all load up in the back of the truck and go around the neighborhood trick or treating. The best part is when we come home and everyone dumps their candy out to see what they got. The look on the kids face is priceless. Parents love it too because we get all the stuff they don't like. This is the same tradition we did with our kids and me and my brothers done when we were younger. I still use traditional scrapbooking. Thank you for this chance for an awesome prize pack.

My favorite tradition is MAKING my son's costume, and trick or treating in the same place every year. We live in a small town and the shops on the square all dress up and hand out candy and there are lots of games, contests, prizes, etc for the kids and adults.
I would like the traditional kit if I win!
Thanks so much for the chance to win!

Love, love, love all these great Halloween/fall projects! Want to try so many of them! My favorite times is being at my aunts house back east. Where everyone goes all out decorating. A big pot of stew is made and we gather on the porch waiting for the cute trick or treaters. Just love this time of year, so much fun! The traditional for me please :)

I'm not a big "Halloween" person, but I have always loved CS's gorgeous vintage images for this season! My favorite memories of celebrating Halloween are of our small town where much of the community would parade around the square at dusk; when my son was really small, we loved joining in the parade and the various shop owners gave out candy and treats. It was a fun way to get to know other trick or treaters and admire many costumes without the hazards of tripping in the dark through unfamiliar neighborhoods. Now that my little goblin is much too big for trick or treating, I enjoy making cards to send my friends. :-)

Love your Halloween designs, there are many that I'd use. I own a DJ business and at Halloween we do a party for our church and the pumpkin patch. Thanks for some new ideas.

My favorite tradition is spending time deciding on my grandchildrens' costumes for this year with my daughter and then the fun of going over to their neighborhood to walk with them to see the kids get their candy!

My favorite tradition is celebrating my sister's birthday on Halloween (yes, she is sometimes very witchy, hehe). I like to make her table decorations and treat boxes with vintage Halloween images. I'd love to have the digital prize - those images are awesome!

Great Halloween projects by all! Traditionally, I put on my witche's hat and hand out candy to all of the trick-or-treaters each year. This year I am making a few Halloween paper crafts using chipboard houses. I would love to win the traditional giveaway-many thanks!

Gorgeous vintage scary Halloween. I learned of a new Halloween "tradition" when my kids were in High School - their friends would put together a personalized treat bag, with non-edible treats like sunglasses, a pocket mirror, a face mask, barrettes, maybe a hair ribbon (you get the idea) and decorate a gift bag in which to put the goodies, including an original poem signed "You've been BOO-ED!". Then they would "ring and run" at another (unsuspecting) friend's house and laugh all night. They'd do this before trick-or-treat night, and it was great fun!

All the projects are beautiful. I especially love the banner!
My favourite tradition is to make up the little paper bags of candy treats. I remember doing this with my Greek Grandmother who loved Halloween as this holiday is not celebrated in Greece!

My favorite tradition is making handmade costumes. The creative process is so much fun for me. I would love to win the digital set as I've never tried my hand at using digital. I need to jump on that wagon. Thanks for the opportunity to win and for sharing such beautiful examples.

My Halloween Tradition has changed as I now live alone. I used to make costumes for the children and myself and take them trick or treating but they have all grown up and moved away. I have moved around so much decorating was always a problem. I do like to make Halloween themed Artist Trading Cards, tags, and cards for my friends.
As for the gift bundles I would love to have both but that is not possible. In that case I would prefer the Traditional package. I love the vintage look.

We used to have a Halloween tradition. The house next door sat empty, so we would have a haunted house party each year. We ended up buying the property and tore the house down. So no more next door parties! I would love to win the digital package. Thanks so much!

I love Halloween- especially decorating. Our tradition on halloween is watching the halloween specials they have on-I like all the ghost haunting stories that are suppose to be true. I'd love to win the digital package. >^..^<

My favorite tradition is to dress up in a Santa Hat and pass out candy canes. When I was growing up one gentleman always did this. We would say trick or treat and he would reply Merry Christmas. He would hand out a candy cane and say "I guess I bought the wrong candy." It was so memorable while the rest of the trick or treating is fuzzy.

Oh my gosh, the projects with Crafty Secrets are outstanding. Could not choose a favorite if I had to! My favorite traditon at Halloween is to make up little treat bags for our 'trick or treaters' and put a Lucky penny in each bag. One child remembers each year what house gives them away! Soooo cute!
I would chose the traditional set if my name was chosen. Thanks for the chance.

Sandy, I am so happy to hear that you have finally been able to make your move!! Yea! I know how much work that can be and how good is must feel to be in your new home. Enjoy all those little (and not so little- but the big kids still love it too) trick or treaters. Just got back from your part of the country. My husband and I took a two week road trip to the Northwest. We absolutely just loved the whole area. So beautiful. We passed through Bellingham on the train from Vancouver BC back to Seattle and I thought of your lovely store and how I would have loved a chance to see it. Thank you again for all your beautiful work and inspiration. Marge
