Hi Everyone, oops, I did this post yesterday and forgot to send it to our Feedblitz subscribers.
DT Leader Kathy Clement has created the most beautiful layered tag using the children from our See You Soon Digital Stamp Set. Kathy shows a bunch of photos with all the details on her blog on how she created this beautiful tag.
Our See You Soon Digital Stamp Set is just $3.50 and the cute children are actually 6.5" w x 8" tall at 300 dpi/ppi. I love that this set will work for 'Saying Hello' and 'See you soon'.
Congratulations to our random.org Blog prize winner #18 henniepennie who won our latest Giveaway worth $40.00.
I came across a bunch of photos of 2 Mini Fairy Albums that DT Member Vicki Chrisman created previously and realized they would be great to post as sample album idea sheets in our online store, here and on Pintrest.
On both albums Vicki mainly used our Altered Fairy Creative Scraps but on her first Quote's Album she also used our Born to Fly Stamps (now digital) and printed several papers to use from CD 1 Creating with Vintage Patterns.
Here's the second Fairy Tag Booklet Vicki did as a Pocket Tag Stitched Mini Album our Altered Fairy Scraps and Gold Metallic Lace Stickers , as well as Glimmer Mist
This old cutlery Vicki altered using our Fairy Scraps was so popular at shows I had to add it. Often you can get beat up vintage cutlery cheap when is no longer good for serving food. Then you can add a moss nest and a little fairy. Look for photos of your family members or yourself as a child that you can alter and add wings and a party hat.
Don't forget this Monday May 4/14 is our Linky Party and DT Challenge and I've seen some of the DT projects and they are amazing , so please come by and check it out!
Wishing you joy and creativity

Welcome to Our Sept Linky Party and Design Team Challenge!
Welcome to our Sept Linky Party, DT Challenge and My Altered Fairy Garden. I'm on vacation so I set this up ahead and DT Members Vicki, Sheila and Kathy will be doing posts while I'm away and Shelley is back filling orders! Lucky us - in Spain and France for our 35th anniversary (see my budget travel tips).
Please click on each of the Design Team ladies links below to see their fabulous creations! Then scroll to the bottom to enter our Linky Party and receive a $6.00 CS Gift Card to use in our www.craftyvintagegirl.com store. A random.org winner will also get a $50 gift card! You have until Mon, Aug 9, 12:05 AM to enter.
In the end they picked out so many bits and pieces I couldn't get the dome over everything!
So I ended up putting them back to back and it worked great because the card stock is double sided so there are designs on the backside. I still need to add some glitter and a few gems and make up a enchanting little fairy story to tell them.
Okay, now it's your turn to enter a sample you have created in our Linky Party. Click on the link below to add a sample you have created using any Crafty Secrets products (up to 4) and receive a $6.00 gift card (1 per person) and a random.org winner will be announced next Mon, Sept 9 to also receive a $50.00 CS Gift Card!

Sadly, I have to say that Melissa Bove had to drop our DT but may be back if she gets more time and less stress. We were honored to have her and I have to create a gallery of all her awesome samples!
I decided to use our Altered Fairy Scraps (only $1.95 now!) to make a little fairy garden to for a glass dome I found at a garage sale last week. I tried to see if anyone sells them and saw some domes on Ebay but you could also use a little bird cage, a tea cup, plant pot, add them to a card and more. There are so many bits and pieces on this double sided sheet you can make multiple fairies and alter photos as well.
Two of the fairies remind me of my niece and nephew so I asked them to pick out all the accessories. Arissa wanted the cat and Kason picked the puppy and bird. There are so excited as Grandma gets to keep the Fairy Garden and she babysits (my mom and dad live downstairs).
I wanted a 3D look so I glued some wings together and found a glue gun worked great. I used it to glue spanish moss on a piece of green foam, wire to the heart earth balloon and little wood skewers on the backs to stick in the foam.

I like the way the double wings look

Aug. Linky Winner, New Samples and Houzz Recycle Ideas
Hi Everyone,
We had 20 fabulous entries for our August Linky Party and the Random.org Winner was #15, so Congratulations goes to Geri's Paper Wishes! Each one of the entries were unique and wonderful and you can see them all here!
Geri also made a second bottle cap card using our Mini Vintage Scraps and papers from CD #1 Creating With Vintage Patterns.
This is the Jolly Halloween Set Vicki used and for a medium set it has so many fun mix & match images and sentiments. The silhouette images at the bottom are a border stamp but you could cut them apart.
I spotted this spectacular card from a set of 4 cards that Teresa from Melbourne, Australia created using our Car Classics Stamp Set for a class she taught. I love the way she has the car bursting through the paper and her other card designs!
Look at the way Marie-alice used mini pearls on the dragonfly wings along with the sentiment and Dandylion stamps from our Wild Flower stamp set. Marie used a brayer to create her pretty blue sky.
Have you ever looked at the Houzz Website? It's full of inspiring home decorating ideas and I look forward to their newsletter each week as it includes photos divided into several themes like using Mason jars. I loved the ideas they showed recently using old rulers and yardsticks like adding them to the front of a counter in a craft or sewing room!
I also liked the drawers and table top they showed and the post reminded me of when Jan Hennings built this cool altered house memory box using old yardsticks and our Altered Fairy Scraps and stamps. Jan also made another Fairy Yardstick House for a Fairy Challenge we did.
We had a great time at our friends cabin up at Christina Lake with perfect weather. We took our bikes and did a 3 hour bike ride along the old railway tracks above the lake which was super fun as it was mostly downhill - my kinda ride!
I wonder if anyone would like a bike theme stamp set? I have some amazing drawings like this Star Rider bicycle design we included big on CD 3 and used on a T-shirt.
Wishing you joy & creativity!
