Antique Expo Show 2013 Photos, Toilet Roll Recipe Album, Pretty Cards and Layouts!

Hi Everyone, we had a great time selling at the Antique Expo Show in Portland and I have a bunch of photos to share below. You can also read my past posts Tips to French Flea Markets and our trip to the famous 6000 booth Brimfield Antique Show in farmers fields outside of Boston. First, I have some great samples by our talented design team ladies to share.

Check out this fun toilet roll recipe album that DT Member Kathy Clement created and decorated with papers from CD 1, Creating with Vintage Patterns, our Domestic Goddess Scraps and Kitchen Time Cut (now digital)

DT Member Elizabeth Lincoln printed the glove from our Garden Style Digital Stamp set and created this classy white glove by embossing it on vellum with a matching tag . It makes a great gift holder to tuck in a gift card, tickets or invitation to lunch/tea.

DT Member Darlene Pavlick has a great little tutorial on her blog showing how she made

this sweet baby frame using the Rosebud and Stripe .99 cent Printable Paper Set

Here's a pretty card by DT Member Melissa Bove using a garden image with some of our printable embossed looking paper.

I like how DT Member Sheila Rumney changed the the girl and sentiment from our

Garden Girl Stamp Set (now digital) to blue to match her paper. You can see her tutorial here on 'How to Change Colors' using Photoshop Elements.

Sheila also created this pretty digital layout using Wild Roses Printable Paper 99 cent set and the word Cherish is from Angel Blessings Digital Stamp set.

I love this sweet photo and layout DT Leader Vicki Chrisman did using this photo from her Whatevers Photo Challenge with our Photo Studio Stamp Set. You can get details and the photo from Vicki's Blog if you want to join in.

Here's a bunch of photos from the Portland Show we sold at over the weekend. It's a very strange set up as 'early buyers' can come in Friday the same time as they let the vendors in to set up. It's great for the buyers but a little hectic for sellers.

It was so nice out all weekend and there were so many sellers outside we heard sales were down a bit for vendors inside - but it was nice a cool inside.

I have a thing for old hardware so I fell in love with this booth but owner Albie was just setting up and I never made it back. We may do a road trip to California in Aug and go see him at the Alameda Point Antiques Faire and sell there. It's the largest antique show in
Northern California. Held on the 1st Sunday of every month with over 800 booths. Next show is Aug 4/13

Here's our booth inside. We sold a bunch of the letterpress alphabets for over $100.00 a set and several word combinations. They were really popular, even for people buying a mix of 3 or 4 styles of the same letter for a initial.

Our CD's also sold well at the show. I think people who like old images don't want to cut up the real thing, so they loved the idea of being able to re-size and re-print the papers and images.

I was smitten by this booth in the next 2 photos but I can't remember the owners name. He has a spot in the Monticello Antique Marketplace in SE Portland and the store looks worthy of a visit!

Who doesn't love vintage kitchey stuff to add homey appeal to a kitchen.

There was a lot of amazing jewelery in every price range

There were a bunch of booths with unique upcycling and furniture re-do items

What I'm Bringing to Sell at the Portland Antique Show and Decoupage Flower Plate

Hi Everyone,

Gee, what was I thinking when I said I would be back with photos yesterday with so many things going on!? I'm back with a bunch of photos of items we are taking to the Portland Antique Expo Show but first I want to show you the new decoupage plate I made. I used 1 of the 4 images from our Floral Art Prints but I wanted it larger, so I just changed the dpi to 200 and it made it almost twice as large.

You can see my last Decoupage Tutorial where I did a couple of plates and wall switch frames. Look for flat plates rather than curved deep plates.

I didn't take photos of all the paper stuff in books, postcards, prints etc - but trust me there is tons and in every price range from old rare to must go cheap! I will take a bunch of photos at the show.
Okay, can anyone think up a cool idea for these black wooden stamp handles? I bought a bunch and 2 years later still have them - so I'm selling them but I'm not sure what to charge??

I bought these in Paris and found out they were used to hook your shopping bags on and you hold the round tube handle.

Here is my Mikasa dishes in the Precious Pattern. I saw the tea cups and saucer on replacements.com for $24.95 each. This is a 6 pc set with platter, bowl, cream, sugar, salt and pepper shakers. Not sure how much to ask but can start at $495.00 and lower price on Sunday if I still have them.

I bought a huge Dolly Dingle Collection from an estate sale and have about 90 of these jumbo sized Paper Dolls. Now that we have them scanned at high resolution I can sell the originals which should go for between $8.00 to $25.00 for the really old ones.

The lady was such a fan she belonged to the Dolly Dingle Fan Club and this was included with the paper dolls. I checked prices and saw between $10 to $45 range but will sell these for $9.95 in hopes it all sells and I don't bring anything home.

Some calling cards from a salesman's book. I'ts a beautiful little book and can you imagine sitting in your parlor picking out your calling cards to give out to prospective beaus?

I would love to hear your thoughts on my printable calendar idea? I'm going to try and sell the original for $125.00 as I think I paid that much with shipping.

I have a bunch of vintage fabric pieces like this old chenille

I bought these pieces from France and hope there will be people at the show that will pay $25.00 for a piece of antique fabric.

More chenille. I'm tempted to keep but no where to use it.

You can see more letterpress photos here and get our 2014 Free Printable Annual Calendars. I know - I got carried away collecting these cool old alphabet printing blocks. It's hard to believe these are what they had to use to print text with!

I'm getting rid of a bunch of stuff but the books are the hardest, There are so many I just can't part with, like the poems and children's books. Some have so many pictures it would take forever to scan them all so I have a zillion little post it notes. My dream is to have a wonderful library with cozy chairs so I can drink tea and read old books like these lovely rooms!

The Boot and Clearance Sale Items, Antique Show Stuff Later Today

Hi Everyone,

I'm back with photos and links to some Clearance Sale items - and I will do another post later today with photos of old stuff we are selling at the Antique Expo Show this weekend in Portland, OR. Almost all our stock is on sale except for our Creating With Vintage CD's (because they are an priced so low for what you get) but we had some miscellaneous items that were never added to our CraftyVintageGirl.com Store and I've marked some of them down even lower.

First, I have to show you this super cute card by DT Member Elizabeth Lincoln using the pair of boots from our new Garden Digital Stamp Set. I let out a whoop when I saw it as this is how we imagined the boots, gloves and umbrella colored in fun bright colors but the roses were a nice surprise.

When Tattered Angels cleared out their discontinued items I bought a mix of 2 full skids and about 350 of these Timeless Romance Stamp Sets because of the quality and size. The stamps are mounted on a thick acrylic sheet you cut apart to use as stamp blocks. We’ve tried and they work, so no need to buy a 6” stamp block.

I've showed some of these samples before but I believe this is one of the sweetest layouts done with this stamp set. DT leader Vicki Chrisman sprayed fabric with Glimmer Mist, stamped, stitched and embellished it. Don't you think it would be pretty tied to a white branch on a wall in a little girls room?

The Garden Gate album is one of my favorite and I'm sad it was discontinued. I love the way it opens and how some of the pages fold out extra long. The cover is a thick cream chipboard embossed with trees and the pages are thick enough to spray with Glimmer Mist or cover with paper. See more pages by DT Leader Vicki Chrisman who created this sample for Tattered Angels - but we are sold out of the mini embossed frames Vicki used on some of the other pages shown on her blog.

I still love this personalized wreath for over a little girls bed ab=nd it would be great to use fabric from an old favorite dress. DT leader Vicki Chrisman was our 'Design Team' back then and made most of the samples. She stitched the letters to shipping tags and added fabric cut with pinking shears and lots of tulle to add fullness.

Cindy (our graphic designer) and I pulled an all nighter to get all 8 booklets ready for the printer and while I took an hour nap she worked on the angel images and swears her mom paid her a visit from heaven and encouraged her. She was still shakey but excited when I woke up and walked back in our office. Was it lack of sleep?

I believe in Angels and I still think of this memory every time I see these angel images. I've always imagined the artists who created this artwork are looking down from heaven and so happy to see that their work is not all lost and forgotten. Link to Angelic Booklets

I made this CD album for a friend years ago when our Alpha Booklets first came out and used white paint to stamp the design and a glass cup rim dipped in paint to add the circle.

Okay, now onto our chipboard pieces which are die cut from a thicker ivory coasterboard. They ink and stamp nicely and used to be kits but I can't get the ivory board and my die cutter went out of business and took all my dies! This 9" x 5.5" fancy rectangle is the most popular.

I think the handle for this purse came from Hobby Lobby but you could make a wire, chain or beaded handle.

Here's the heart shape coasterboard which you can string 3 together to make a garland or mini album. Lastly, Metallic and Lace Stickers now $1.50. We have a variety of gold, black and some white left and you can see the detail on the samples below showing the stickers placed on black paper.

Okay, later today I will post photos of some of the old items we are bring to the Antique Show in Portland this weekend in case anyone is interested they can email or call our toll free. It's just the shipping that could be a pain if it's heavy, large or odd shaped. I have a huge collection of Dolly Dingle Paper Dolls, plus plates and figurines, Mikassa full set of dishes in Precious Pattern (only 36 years old), the pattern I collected when we got married but it seems too precious to use. vintage fabric, wallpaper, oodles of postcards, books, paintings and more!
