Don’t Miss Our DT Challenge this Mon, June 21/10
We are back from our TX, AZ & MX trip and it’s been a crazy week catching up with new product arriving for the CHA Show next month, ads to create, the new website we are finishing and all the new products we are working on! I’ve been away so long I have lots of news and samples to share today!
I also just thought of an idea, to change my old list of Ways to Say I Love You into ‘Quick Ways to Say Happy Fathers Day I know it’s tomorrow and most of you won’t see this until then but they are almost all fast & fun and you may find a few ideas to incorporate or use later for his birthday.
16 Quick Ways to Say Happy Fathers Day – I Love You Dad!
(for your husband or father, or ideas for your kids)
1.) Forgot to get a card? Create a handmade card using
our free poem HERE.
Just scroll down on the left side bar and click
‘Fathers Day Poem’
2.) Make him a crown to wear so he can be a king for the day!
Click HERE for our free crown pattern. Scroll down and click
'Tall Crown' in left side bar. Print it on yellow cardstock and decorate.
3.) Far away? - Write a mushy heartfelt letter or poem to sent by e-mail, fax, text etc
4.) Write it in icing on a cake or cookie shaped like a boat, trailer or??
5.) On a note inside his lunch, his pocket or wallet
6.) Stamped on your body as a temporary tattoo (heart & DAD)
7.) Written on a keepsake bookmark tucked in a new book by his favorite author.
8.) Interview those who loves him and record it in a scrapbook or on video
9.) Interview him with a list of questions about his life and record it as a keepsake
10.) Call the local radio station with a song dedication to your husband or dad
11.) Sing a ‘why I or we love dad’ song (live perform or record as a surprise)
12.) Write messages of love on balloons with markers to create a DAD balloon bouquet.
13.) Make a # 1 Dad banner to hang and a little flag to poke in his pancakes or supper.
14.) Leave Post-it-love-notes in surprise spots to be found around the house
15.) Write it using sidewalk chalks in front of his car on the driveway
16.) This one isn’t so quick but is also great for a birthday or retirement. Buy a special journal or scrapbook to give as a gift, but first record your BEST DAD message along with favorite childhood memories with him & what makes him special to you. You can add photos, bits of ephemera, cards and keepsakes. You don't have to fill it up. You can add to it over time.
To recap, we had a fantastic show in TX at the Great American Scrapbook Show (
see pics HERE in my last post and
HERE on Vicki's blog) and after the show we took a break and flew to AZ so we could do a trip my husband Scott has been dreaming of for years – to drive to Puerto Penasco, MX to see his fav band Roger Clyne & the Piecemakers play in their annual concert there. DT leader Vicki Chrisman taught at the show and is also a big fan so she came along for the trip. My camera won’t download my photos but
Vicki created a great Video HERE on her blog!
When we got home 3 more of our NEW Creative Scraps were delivered and are starting to ship to stores

Okay, now I have some great samples to show you! Look at this great card past DT member Lisa Zappa created for her dad for Fathers Day using our new
Car Classics set.
We have in our new
Bonjour Merci Stamp Set and the DT ladies have been creating some beautiful samples! Look at the sweet card DT member Michele Kovack designed. Love the papers and colors she used and you can get the details
HERE on Michele's blog.
Heidi used some of the little flourish stamps and flower border from our
Bonjour Merci Stamps to decorate this very cute purse she made with her Cricut machine and you can get the details
HERE on Heidi's blog.
When I talked with Heidi last week her town had been hit by a tornado and poor Vicki went back home to flooding in her area of Nebraska. They are okay but what is with the weather lately?
Look at the pretty card DT Member Marisa Grosson created with the
Bonjour Merci set. I love all the styles of lettering on this set and all the little bits and pieces you can use to build with. You can get the
details HERE on Marisa's blog.
Here's an adorable card DT member Julie Cambell created using our
Mermaid set. The glitter with the gold edging looks so pretty! You can get the details
HERE on Julie's blog and see a card she made with the
French set HERE
Julie is creating a scrapbook album for her parents anniversary and has been posting pages like this pretty one she used our
Flourish Stamp Clear Art Stamps on and you can see more
HERE on her blog. I love the page with the wedding dress sketches!
I don't know how I missed this great 3D card DT member Deborah March created with our
Greetings From Wonderland stamp set. I love how she used paper piecing by stamping Alice's dress and
crown again. You can get the details
HERE on Deborah's blog and see her new
birdie card HERE.
Look at this fun card DT member Pam Hooten created using our
Party Cat Clear Art Stamps. Okay, I admit the caption question 'Feline Frisky Tuna-ite? is pretty corny but it's so fun! There are some hilarious phrases on this stamp set. You can get details
HERE on Pam's blog. Pam came to TX and and helped Vicki in our classes and with our make & takes and we had a great time!
