Free Printable Blank Art Calendar, Giveaway, Great Sample Ideas and Take it Easy Set Dilemma

Hi Everyone,  I'm writing from Mexico as we were asked last minute to join friends in San Jose Del Cabo at a cool house they rented.   Airfare was so low we couldn't resist as the house worked out to less than $85 a night for our share and  we are saving $$ by cooking here.  Plus - look at the snow we left!  We went to Cabo yesterday and spent $12.00 each to go in a glass bottom boat to lover's Beach. I had no idea it was so pretty.

I cleaned out the Art Calendar I had posted in January and have a blank one now that you can use for any month and just write in the days. Just click it left click  till big as possible and right click to save to a picture file.   You could also color 1 page or 4 seasonal pages and just replace the month and cut the flourishes so a monthly card can tuck in the center.  I've included some pretty samples below by our talented Design Team ladies.  I'm giving away a $25.00 Gift Certificate for feedback on Take it Easy Digital Set (see below).

Here's the sample calendar by DT Member Darlene Pavlek and the colors seem to suit a summer or fall month.

Here's the calendar page by DT Member Elizabeth Lincoln and look how she did the 2 tone green.

Lastly, here is the calendar tutorial by DT Member Michele Kovack which is done in pretty Spring colors.

Here's a great shabby spring card by DT Leader Kathy Clement using an image from our Seasonal Booklet with paper from the Earthy Floral Printable Papers
with Uttee (her fave) and pretty ribbons.

Look at this adorable card by DT Member Vicki Chrisman using an image from our Farm Fresh Scraps

DT Member Elizabeth Lincoln has created a bunch of beautiful cards including this beauty using papers and designs from CD 3 Creating With Vintage Typography.

Here's another pretty card by Elizabeth and she pasted in a bird with papers from CD 2, Creating With Vintage Illustrations

DT Member Sheila Rumney has great Tutorial showing how to use the Burn Tool to age papers with Photoshop Elements.  Sheila used papers from our Sew Decortive CD.

This is the Take it Easy Set we sold out of.  I've always wanted to add a lamp and bird cage and didn't have room on this small set - but there are no rules with digital so check out the new ADDITIONAL DESIGNS BELOW - BUT i NEED FEEDBACK

Diane (my ad lady) changed some of these images over to PNG files and she left a couple with white in the center, please tell me if you like this idea better or not? The lamp and the table are white instead of transparent, so you can still print them off on any color paper but you wouldn't be able to layer them digitally over color or pattern papers. Which do you like better??  Do you think all digital stamps should be transparent PNG files?

When I get it sorted out and added to the store in the next day or so it will be priced like a small set for the first 2 weeks at $3.50.

Here are some samples that were made with the original Clear Set before the extra designs were added.  Michele Kovack just finished creating the first cute blue chair card.

I will do a post on San Jose del Cabo after our trip is over and include links to our favorites like this house we are staying in.  This is part of a mural painted on the patio wall where I've been working.

Our Easter Banner and Easter Cut-out Kids will be added next, they are just undergoing some changes.

Leave a comment on the Take it Easy Stamp Set or on anything you've liked to be entered in our $25.00 Giveaway. Winner announced this Monday at our March Linky Party.  Come join the fun!

Have a great weekend!

Welcome New Easter Printables, Sew Sweet Mini Album and Snowflakes!

Hi Everyone,  These are the new items added to our craftyvintagegirl.com store. Still to come - Printable Postcards, Easter Banner Set, Floral Art Cards and Printable Papers.

This set below was inspired by the Downton Abbey TV Show my mom and Scott and I are hooked on. Past DT Member Julie Campbell told me about it and she was right - it's addictive!  These ladies would be very early Downton Abbey - like when the grandmother was young (mid 1800’s). She could have been one of the ladies here taking a stroll with her girlfriends in their fine Spring attire with bonnets and parasols.

Victorian Spring Ladies Set includes a pre-made wall art page at 7.5”H x 10”W and 2 PNG files with ladies cutout so they have a transparent background and you can add them to any background. The lady in the pink dress is 8.5”H at 300 dpi/ppi and the other 2 ladies are 7”x 8”. The files are re-sizeable so you can create wall art, fun cards, cut-out figurines, tags, to tiny pendants.

Our Christmas Mini Boxes have been so popular we now have 2 new Printable Spring - Easter theme box downloads for $2.95 each with matching gift cards. This one is called Easter Kids T-29

This is the second new box design called Bunnies Gift Box and it's more generic except for the Gift Tag which has a short Easter verse.

The bunnies on this gift bag look stunning with the Teal sky backdrop. These bags are perfect to hold greetings, cash, gift cards, party favors and Easter treats.

This is the new Bunny Kids Printable Gift Bag and Tag for $2.95

This set is underway but needs a top for the tree and some birdies and flowers.  The kids are all separate PNG Files you can add to various backgrounds, plus you get the landscape background paper.

You have to check out this beautiful Sewing Mini Album by DT Leader Kathy Clement!  The attention to detail and the way she sewed on the papers is fantastic. Kathy used our Sewing CD #7 and Button Cards

Lastly, look how cool the digital snowflake stamps look on DT Member Sheila Rumneys layout of some blue jays in her yard. See - this is another great benefit Digital Stamps offer

More Spring and Easter Printables to come in Printable Postcards, Easter Banner Set, Floral Art Cards and Printable Papers.

Thanks for your patience

A Little Delay But More Designs and Special Projects

Yikes - I'm sorry if you came back to see our NEW Spring and Eater Printables - and I still haven't been able to add them to our store!  My graphic designer Cindy is off and I'm awaiting Photoshop help I can't do - but the designs are growing! I will be  adding the mini Easter Boxes, Treat Bags and some of the Postcard Sets later today.

These cute little kids are by the Campbell's Soupl Artist Grace Drayton. They are all cut out PNG Files and just need a background paper so you can create cards, add them to scrapbook pages and other projects.

There will also be a set of Victorian Spring Ladies with fun hats and accessories!

This set isn't matching up and needs adjusting

I've also been busy helping organize my the Celebration of Life for my Father this Saturday. We all really miss him so much but are laughing more recalling funny memories.

DT Leader Kathy Clement sent me this stunning card and I asked her to show the technique on how she uses Utee

DT Member Vicki Chrisman made this beautiful framed Valentine for my mom who she has met many times while staying here working on new products over the years. My mom adores it and Vicki!  She wants to put it out on the table we are going with photos.

DT Member Michele Kovack made this adorable froggie card using our Animal Party Clear Stamp Set - which we still have some of this set left as I ordered over 350 just before the stamp plant moved. Now it's on sale for $12.50 and it's a large set with a bunch of cute animals

Here's a pretty card by Elizabeth Lincoln using our Bouquets of Joy Stamp Set and a Free Printable  - which is missing as our craftysecrets.com site is down right now and pointing here to the blog and our store.  Sorry far I have had any luck finding it (it's from 4 0r 5 years ago - but I will find that rose card or have a new one

Ok, I will be back ASAP!

Linky Winner for Feb and Easter-Spring Update

Hi Everyone,

I have the random.org winner for our Feb Linky Party but I'm sorry you will have to wait until tomorrow for our new Spring Printable Debut. I've been so busy working in Photoshop I have filled something on my computer called the 'scratch disc' and it has locked up my computer.  The Easter Printables have grown into beautiful papers as well and likely I will offer many of them on a CD as per so many requests. Sorrry - should have dome that with Valentine Kit.

Congratulations to lucky $50.00 gift card winner #2 Diane (nelliesnest) and to everyone else who entered I will send you the $6.00 coupon.

I couldn't help it we had to have Spring-Easter papers to go with these and it will take a while - but it is looking amazing!

Thanks for your patience! I did hire a new shipper (Lyssa who is fantastic) for our USA little warehouse so things are getting better but I'm still on my own in the office and it has been a crazy last few months but I can see a light at the end of what has seemed like a dark tunnel.

Hugs

Feb Linky Party and DT Tutorial and Love Challenge!

Hi Everyone,  today is the start of our February Linky Party and Design Team Valentine - Love' Challenge and New Specials!   I'm late posting for our Design Team as my computer is messed up and won't let me open or save any Word documents or copy links. So I'm winging it and re-wrote my post.  If anyone has ever had this problem (the little time circle  keeps spinning) please call my toll free # 1-888 597-8898.

After you check out all the great projects our DT ladies have made come back and see how I turned cards into Tissue Candle Wraps, and printed past samples onto Shrink Plastic Film Inkjet Sheets to create magnets, pins and cute mini embellishments!   Scroll down to see current Specials and ENTER OUR LINKY PARTY and receive a $6.00 coupon, plus 1 lucky winner will get a $50.00 Gift Card!

I used our Vintage Valentine Digital Kit for all my samples and started out making a couple of digital cards and I can always add some 3D dimension later by reprinting any part to pop up on pop dots, or add ribbon, glitter, lace, etc  but you will see how having a digital card will allow me to re-size, paste and reprint copies for different projects.  This card features Otis, our 18 year old diabetic and blind doggie who our youngest daughter Chelsea and her boyfriend have adopted and he is their baby now and doing great!

This card is I made for our daughter Holly who adopted Fred last year and they are smitten with each other.

You can tilt images and text with Photoshop Elements by tilting the text box or the image when you hover over the corner and use the double curved arrows.  I changed this to read Holly's Sweetie Fred by painting blue over Hello and using a similar font.

I still need to make a card for our oldest daughter and her boyfriend who have George, an 8 year old  boston terrier but I want to buy some some red pom-poms to add so I will show it next time.   Below are 2 candle wraps I created simply by pasting two 10" long designs together and printing them on tissue paper. Scroll below for tissue printing details.

You could also print candle wraps on freezer paper and the waxy side would adhere to candles using a hair dryer or heat gun. Here is a full Tutorial by DT Member Vicki Chrisman on Creating Tissue Printed Candles.
Also, here is a candle I made by stamping on tissue but you can do the same idea using digital stamps on a background and print it on tissue as well.

If you don't have candles you can always wrap printed images around a smooth glass, secure with tape, stickers or ribbon and add a battery or tea light candle.  If you clip the wick short the flame will get smaller.

I thought I would get a head start and make Scott his Valentine early. I still want to add some of the designs again like the rose and heart on pop-dots and some sparkle.

I was also playing around with a photo editing program (Portrait Professional) and I went to town on our photo and whitened our teeth and erased some wrinkles – so after 37 years together we don’t really look this good LOL!

Next I took some of the cards I made printed them on Ink Jet Shrink Plastic Film sheets, I bought from amazon and cut them out and baked in my oven at 300 degrees to shrink into magnets, pins and cute embellishments.  I do have some packages of the Shrink Plastic Sheets (6 sheets per pkg) for stamping with permanant ink like Stazon on CLEARANCE SALE for $2.50 a package! I ordered a case of the wrong kind last year and its by Grafix as well, it just won't work in my printer.

Here's a past post I did using Shrink Plastic Sheets with some of our stamps. Some of the stamps sets have sold out but it would be easy to print the digital on the Ink Jet sheets and the images are larger, where as many of the stamped images seemed too small after they shrunk.

I will be back with more Shrink Art projects as I made some with our Heart to Heart and Sewing Digital Stamp Sets.  I will have a bunch more ideas to share on what you can create from buttons, bottle embellishments, mini books and more!

Here's what is included in our Digital Valentine Download for $9.95 and this month our Free Printable is our Romance Printable Sheet, which is also still available in Cotton Scraps and on SALE now for $1.50

Now it's your turn to enter any sample in our Feb. Linky Party and receive a $6.00 coupon and 1 lucky winner will get a $50.00 Gift Card!
