You can WIN a $100.00 gift certificate from us to spend on any of our products! Please email all projects to: contest@craftysecrets.com

The winner will be chosen from best design and use of our products. Please list what supplies you used and some simple tips, in case other people wish to re-create it. The entry deadline is June 9 and a winner will be announced that night.

You can also enter here on our blog to Win our FREE Blog Candy Giveaway! Make sure you add your email or check back to see if you’ve won!

Plus – Vicki Chrisman is giving away an adorable altered fairy she created HERE on Vicki's blog. Each day she has been adding extra goodies, so you can make your own altered fairies using photos of your kids - or add wings and a party hat to your pet! Vicki has used the wings from our Earthy Paper Pad and party hats and crowns from our Radiant Paper Pad.

You can Print Our Free Men Images and our Tie Template for Fathers Day on June 15, or use either of them for a man's birthday.

The Big Fish and Golf image are part of a page from our Wacky & Wonderful Book and I'm sad to say it's almost all sold out, so I'm posting it here free because our design team has made some great cards I want to share below.

Later this year we are doing a Men's theme Journal & Image Notes Booklet and these images will go into that book.

This TIE TEMPLATE is a free printable that our graphic Artist Cindy whipped up today as I thought it would be fun for kids to decorate for Dad, or use on a scrapbook page. You can print it onto color cardstock or pattern paper and add photos of dad, messages of love, stamp on it and all sorts of fun embellishments. Simply cut your tie out and add ribbon to tie around dad's neck. Gee - you could make ties for all the men you know and if you have some yellow paper, make them 'King for the Day' crowns to wear as well!

Just put your mouse over the image and click on the left side of your mouse, then when the image is larger, click it with the right side of your mouse and save the tie image and then save the poems to one of your picture files, or on your desktop. Later you can open each of them and print them on paper or cardstock. You can use almost any picture program to size the images to print them smaller or larger in size, depending on what you wish to create.

Our contest will close on June 10 and I will announce the winner for the blog entries and projects submitted. If you have more than one project or Fathers Day idea you can post extras!
Check Out These Great Cards & Ideas for Men!
Our talented design team has created a smorgasbord of samples perfect for men. Some of these are birthday cards but they they could easily be adapted into a Fathers Day card. Iwas going to try and link to our online gallery but the samples were under too many different searches. If you type in: Favorite Fellas, Father or Dad in the search bar you will be able to get more details and see other great samples!

Many of them are created with our Favorite Fellas Large Stamp set shown here and I love the way this set turned out and how versatile it is! The inside comes out of the TV so you can add whatever you like, plus the #1 comes out of the trophy cup as well, in case you want to add something else.

This cute tie card was created by DT member Lisa Zappa when she stamped our tie stamp on six different paper pattern scraps from our Earthy Paper Pad. She also matted it on Earthy Papers.

This would 'tie' in great if you used the big printable tie template and also made a tie for
Dad to wear.

I love the way Pam Hooten from our design team stamped this card. Stamping images on cardstock pieces is a great way to help guarantee the success of your project. If you mess up, you can simply stamp a new card.

Pam also did an amazing job here lining up our diamond border to stamp 4 in a row. If something doesn't look right, you can always add a button!

You can also draw a line down the center of your acrylic block with a fine tip permanent marker, or score a line and use the line as a guide to line your long stamps up straight.

Anna Wight from our design team really captured
the radiant colors with the fun image on this card! The image is from our Wacky & Wonderful Book and we literally only have a couple left and it will be sold out (boo-hoo) - but this is one of the free printable images in this post! The paper is from our Radiant Paper Pad.

What man who loves fishing hasn't dreamed of this kind of catch!

Everyone LOVES this fun card Linda Duke created using one of the guy stamps from our Favorite Fellas stamp set, paired with paper and the shaving ad from our Earthy Paper Pad.

The shaving cream is actually Liquid Appliqué from Stampin’ Up and it's totally 3D!

Linda used Prismacolor Pencils with her baby oil technique to color her guy. I HAVE to get her tutorial posted ASAP on how she uses the baby oil to blend her pencils. It's very cool!

Lisa Zappa also created this Auto Log Journal, which think is such a cool idea for a gift! She found the notebook in the $1.00 section at Michael's. She loved the black diamond design that it looks like a racing flag and combined it with stamps from the Favorite Fellas set.

She stamped the car on an oval frame sticker from the Altered Office Sticker set, and she also used the OK, Paper Clip and pointing hand sticker. She used an old vintage map from an old road atlas that she paid .75 cents for at a junk shop. She stamped "Auto Log" with our "Adore" Alphabet stamps. She also added 3 'file folder tab stickers' from the Altered Office stickers and wrote "Mileage", "Tune-Ups" and "Oil Changes" on each one.

The same stamps used above, were also
used here by Michelle Wooderson from our design team to stamp this quick fun birthday card and envelope using our Favorite Faellas stamp set.

This same ideacould easily be turned into a Fathers Day card if she used the Happy Fathers Day stamp from the set, or some of the other sentiments.

Julie Ebersole is a past alumni member of our design team and she created this card last year that I wanted to share with you as it was buried so far into the gallery, you may not have seen it.
Plus the
'Lean Mean Swinging Machine Golf Guy' is the other free printable image in this post!
I ve the paper blocking Julie did using papers from our Earthy Paper Pad

Visit Our May Guest Designer Joanne Allison’s Blog! I was not blessed with a dad that I have treasured memories of--but I did have the most fabulous granddad. He was a product of his time (didn't talk about feelings or ever get mushy) but he was special to me--and I knew how he felt about me.

The biggest treat in the world to me was to go with Granddad to the hardware store. We would ride in his red GMC pickup with a white cap (to me, the COOLEST vehicle in the WORLD). He would explain the different tools and show me what he needed. THEN at the checkout was the BEST thing. He would buy me a Slim Jim! I LOVED those things. Yes, I liked the taste, but it was the shared moment that I think was the BEST!

My father passed away 12 years ago while I was pregnant with our first son. My favorite memory involved many of my Saturdays growing up in Corpus Christi, Texas. My dad would wake me up early, early, early in the morning so that we could get out to the beach long before the sun would come up. We would drive past the "four wheel drive" only part of the beach and would park right near the water. Dad would take out his portable camping kitchen set up from the trunk of the car and would proceed to fix me the best breakfast ever. Mind you, this is a man that NEVER cooked at home.

We would eat breakfast together and then comb the beach for any treasures we could find.

Most of the time my dad was a gruff Navy officer who didn't know how to show affection or be close to his daughter. These times were "ours" and very special, love and warm fuzzies for me.

The other thing we would do together was tune cars. He taught me to use a timing light by the time I was eleven. We would get greasy and have a ball. It was a whole different type of bonding from the beach where we would talk for hours.

My favorite memory of my dad, is usually him spending Saturday or Sunday with me to go to the mall and window shop. We're not much for talking but it's always fun to go and look at stuff.

One thing particular stuck out was that he was babysitting my newborn cousin, I must've been 15 or so at the time. The baby fell asleep on his chest and he fell asleep as he lean back. That's the coolest thing a teenager can witness. I thought to myself, maybe that's what he was like when I was that little.

My favorite memory of my Dad is coming down the stairs in the morning to see him kneeling in front of his chair and praying. It set a tone for the day and I will always treasure that sight.

One of my favourite memories of my dad was waking up Saturday mornings to him cooking his favourite Jamaican food that he got from the St Lawrence Market in Toronto. He was born and raised in Jamaica, so the food was always a part of our diet every Saturday. My favourite was Plantain fried in coconut oil. Can you say YUM!!

I have lots of wonderful memories of my dad. He was always humming or singing a nonsensical song. He would just sing whatever came into his head. He also let me tag along to the hardware store with him (the good old-fashioned kind, not the home improvement stores of today). Maybe that's where I got my love of altered and vintage stuff.
Look forward to seeing you in TX.

My Favorite Father's Day Memory.

I did not have a father in my life. All 3 of us were brought up by our mom, grandma, and grandpa. My grandpa was my father figure, he would say that he wished I was his real daughter, but in his mind I was his daughter, he said. God, he was wonderful. We had this thing were if I spent the night, ate dinner, or used his tee-shirt for a night shirt he would charge me rent (he would say, I am putting it on your bill) When I got older he'd continue to say the samething. Finally, I told him that it is time that I paid up. He would say, that it was okay he will just continue to put it on my bill. He would help me with my math, build me things (a beautiful cedar chest) anyting I wanted. We were like Peas and Carrots. Two years ago in August he passed away, it hurt me and I did not go and see him when he was in the hospital the last few days of his life. I regret that, but I think that is what he would have wanted since he was so ill. I love him very much and miss him putting items on my bill. Take care grandpa, and happy fathers day.

You stood by me through it all
You saw me stumble
You saw me fall
You picked me up and held me tight
In your arms the world felt right

You washed away my tears and fears
You walked with me through the years
You were there when my children came
You opened your arms once again
You showed them love - you showed them strength
You did for us at great lengths

What we treasure most of all
Is your love through it all
Your handsome face
Your big blue eyes
Your heart of gold eternal size

I miss your smile when I'm away
I think of you each and every day
My Love for you will never die
You are the apple of my eye

My favorite memory is having my dad & step dad walk me down the aisle on my wedding day. I was so blessed to have them both there and it symbolized how important they were to me in my life. I felt so supported and loved by both of these amazing men!

My favorite memory of my dad is the day he got saved. I'd been praying for him since I was 6 (when he left us) and it seemed like he would never change. Finally, he started to go to church with me when I was in college, and one day in church, he made the decision to give his heart to Christ. It was truly a miracle!

Oh my dad - what a character! So many wonderful memories of his wacky sense of humor and his willingness to always help someone in need.He loved to create things with his hands and had a garage full of tools.I remember as he got much older he wasn't able to do much, but one day he found an old tree stump and made a small rustic looking footstool from it.It was actually really cool looking and very sturdy. So many of my friends commented on how much they liked it that he worked all summer on making these footstools so that everyone-the neighbors,my friends, other family members all got one.He was pretty proud of them and every time I think about him making those it brings a smile to my face remembering how happy he was to able to have a reason to 'tool around' in his garage one last time.

My dad worked a lot when we were growing up but I do remember on the week-ends we would go to the mountains in California and would stay in a cabin that we owned by Green Valley Lake. I have lots of memories of us all together as a family and just playing cards, cooking marshmallows or fishing at the lake.

My Dad loves a good laugh. We've had many through the years. This year we had a good giggle when Sears called to renew his warranty for his dishwasher that he purchased years ago. Funny part is...he hasn't taken it out of the box yet!!!! HA!!! Did I mention his is a bit of a redneck procrastinator??? LOL!
What a DAD!

I am very fortunate to have many fond memories of my Dad. One in particular stands out to me because my husband did something like this (out of the blue) this year for our young daughters. One Valentine's Day when I was very young Dad surprised mother with roses and a box of chocolates. I was even more surprised that he brought me a mixed bouquet of flowers and a bag of conversation hearts! My husband showed up with roses for me and a single rose for each of our daughters. They were as excited as I remember being with this jesture showing that they are "daddy's girls!" Thanks for this awesome opportunity!

My most vivid memory of my Dad is that he could fix just about anything. No calling the plumber or the electrician, he did it all by himself.

My parents were divorced when I was maybe 8 or 9. My fondest memory was when my dad would come take me to dinner at afancy restaurant, just him and I. He would have the pianist play Daddy's Girl and we would order from menus that were in big picture frames. How important I was with that big frame on my lap, while I read the menu. He ordered frog's legs and of course I tried it... well, I kind of swished it around in my mouth and swallowed it, saying that I did like it. OMG, I haven't thought about that in so many years. That was 40+ years ago!

I am hoping to see you in Puyallup!! :)

One of my most hysterical moments with my dad was when I was in 11th grade (and of course thought I knew it all). He had just helped me paint my bedroom a really cool art deco grey and deep plum with rose accents...you know, back when brass and lacquer were popular in the 80's. Anyway, we ordered levelors for my windows and needed to go to the hardware store for some screws. He told me to go in and get wood screws. Well I knew where the screws were, but lo and behold, not a SINGLE wood screw. So I asked the guy who worked there (kinda cute if I remember right - well at least from a teenager's perspective), do you have any wood screws. He says sure - and shows me where they are. He asks what size. I say, um, NO, those aren't wood. He says, do you want wood screws or screws MADE OF WOOD because the latter doesn't exist. I said yes they do, because my dad said I needed to get wood screws - not metal ones. Just about that time, my dad walked up and um, embarassed me quite a lot by saying the metal screws ARE wood screws....duh!! To this day that is one of the biggest jokes in our family...the wood screw....whodaknew?

My uncle is a father figure whom I care for very much. He was the one I could always count on growing up. My most vivid memories are of him rescuing me when my car (first little beater car) would break down. Once I was on my way to work in the pouring rain and my car croaked as I went through a puddle. Luckily, I was not far from home and my uncle came to my rescue he handed me the keys to his car so I would not be late to work, and as I drove off, I'll never forget the image of him under the hood with makeshift rain boots made of plastic bags : ) working on my car.
This is why I look forward to holidays, the memories are the best.

I think my favorite memory of my dad who is not the sentimal mushy sort (an ex-marine) was when I was getting ready to walk down the aisle at our wedding. He whispered into my ear the scripture that God would always be with me. In essence he knew as a father he was giving me away but my Heavenly Father would always be there. A truth that has carried me through my life.

I am fortunate to have many many happy memories of my Dad who died 4 years ago this month. He was full of fun and always laughing. As we neared our holidays/vacation he would start to count down like this "hi de hi and ho de ho only 3 (or however many days it was) to go". Thinking about him brings a smile to my face, he told me before he died that he had no regrets and I know that I am lucky to have had a Dad who lived life to the full.

It was huge and Wonderful!! being that his trade was a carpenter..it was stunning. I'll never forget it and all the Wonderfulamazing hours we spent in there being Queens of our Castle! I have so many great memories of my dad, it's hard to choose from! I guess I'll just start with the first one I thought of:
I remember as a baby when I'd be crying in the night my dad would walk me around quietly singing in his comforting voice, "Everything is going to be all right..." I would lay against his chest as I was walked around feeling his base voice and being comforted. I remember watching the little green light on his stereo during these times. It's amazing I remember this nearly 24 years later!

oh...here is where I write....
my dad took me to all my chemo treatments. he would hold my hand, laugh with me, just love me.
And our after treatment treat was to get a shake at a place near the hospital.
He has passed away, but he left me with a ton of good memories!

Some of my favorite memories with my dad are going on motorcycle rides with him in the mountains of Colorado. One time he even let me try driving, on a back road of course! What fun! Dad loves to drive so on lazy weekend afternoons he would pile us all in the car & just take a ride, with no particular destination in mind, just to be together & see what we could find. My parents still live in Colorado, and I'm in Wisconsin, so the rides are fewer & further between, but still enjoyed when we can get them. Love & miss you, Dad!

My very favorite memory of my dad is of Christma Eve each year when I was young. Before it was time to open presents, he would take just me on a ride in the car to look at the pretty Christmas lights. I loved it and really treasure that memory. Of course, as I grew older I realized that it was a ploy to get the baby out of the house because I was annoying everyone by asking to open the presents every second...LOL.

I also love the memory of going to work with my dad. He drove a bread delivery truck and, when I was old enough, I got to go to work with him and help him deliver the bread. I loved it because he worked so much and I got to spend some alone time with him. I also really liked being able to go out to eat for lunch (I was young a LONG time ago and people didn't eat out much). It didn't hurt that I got to eat as many treats as I liked either!!

Thanks for the opportunity to sit and think about these very special times with my dad.

I was richly blessed to have had a wonderful father. He was truly a "gentle man". He never showed anger and was always helping others. He gave strength to anyone who needed it and was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. Memories included his making every holiday special with unique decorations and gifts. He was not a man of material wealth, but did everything he could to make those holidays memorable for the family. He could fix anything and make anything (including the most wonderful Sunday breakfasts). He could always answer my questions, help me with any homework problem, and encourage me to be the best I could be. When I was young, he would hold me on his lap and read to me and play his favorite record for me, "Daddy's Little Girl". I was proud to call him "Daddy", but was even more proud to watch him become the best grandfather my children could ever have. I miss him terribly, but I know that he will live forever in my heart.

Being the only girl of nine kids would make you think I would have been the "daddy's girl, princess type" right?? Well, not so much...My dad let me do what I wanted with my life and showed me how to work hard to get where I wanted to go. He was always willing to teach me whatever he knew how to do, even changing the oil, spark plugs and brake pads....My favorite memories are of working right along side dad doing whatever he was doing and learning it all...even if I was a girl!!! My Dad taught me by example that a good name is rather to be chosen that great riches and that a woman of character is worth a price far above rubies.

My grandpa passed away a few years ago, and my grandma did not have any type of service for him. I felt a lack of closure, and wasn't able to say goodbye. At church a few weeks after he died, during silent prayer time, I said "Grandpa, I hope you know how much I love you." I immediately felt the sensation of his hand on my shoulder and heard in my heart his voice saying "I know, Jessi." I have wonderful memories of him while he was alive too, but this is the one that came to mind first!

I have a lot of favorite memories of my grandpa. He really helped me through my childhood days. One of my favorite things was going to his farm in Kentucky in the summers. There was no TV and it was way out in the "boonies" but I always had a blast there! He's older now, of course, and doesn't travel anymore. He still knows how to make me laugh and feel loved though!

My favorite memories of my Daddy were when I was young because he died of cancer when I was 8 years old. I loved riding out in the fields and checking on the cows with him! He let me name the calves, and I always named them Susie! We went on one vacation before he died, and he had to stop and read every historical marker from Sanger, TX to Colorado Springs, CO and back! I eventually minored in History and now love to teach my elementary students that subject! Daddy would be proud of me (and his grandson that teaches Social Studies)!

Any memory with my dad is a cherished one, but the one that chokes me up with happiness is right after my dd was born. I was talking and laughing with my dad and said to him that he couldn't know how much I just loved my dd and he looked me straight in the eye and said he KNEW exactly how much I loved her and that when you love something that much and they have a baby the love continues to grow. He was soooo genuinely happy and filled with love for me. Unconditional parental/fatherly love. A wonderful gift from God.

I was such a Daddy's girl growing up. I don't remember this because I was too little, but my Mom always loved to tell about how I would climb into my Dad's recliner when I was about 2 years old. I would wait until my Dad got home from work and would climb into his recliner right when he was about to sit and read the newspaper. They would "scold" me about sitting in Daddy's chair. I loved to get "scolded" by Daddy! He would pick me up and toss me toward the ceiling and make me laugh. He has always been there for me and I am forever grateful for the love and support he has given me over the years and still continues to give me now. Thanks DAD!

Love all the great Fella Samples, really some amazing design work and creativity. Thanks Ladies!

My Favorite memory was 5 years ago when I got a phone call from my Dad.
"Pammy, how would you like to go to Paris with your sister and Mother and I?"
Well, you must know what my answer was!!!!!
WOWZERS ARE YOU KIDDING?

We had the greatest 7 days of eating, laughing, touring and picture taking.
One of the best things about it was that my Dad had done all the research about where to go, good restaurants, shopping areas and transportation methods. For the 1st time since my honeymoon (!981), I didn't have to do any of the work to go away......that in itself was amazing. Springtime in Paris...what a wonderful and most memorable Journey!

My husband is the best Dad! He is a helicopter pilot in the Navy, so he has to be away from us at times when he deploys.
Weeks leading up to his deployment, he will buy gifts & cards for the kids to open when he is gone. He knew our daughter was going to be starting kindergarten, so he bought her a hello kitty backpack and put a new outfit in it for her to wear. He had me video tape him reading bedtime stories so the kids could see him everynight. He got them build-a-bears and had a voice box put in them, saying "I love you, goodnight"
He is the Dad that all of the kids want to play with.

Believe it or not, one of my favorite things to do with my Dad is to go shopping! He and I have similar tastes and enjoy walking around, chatting, and just hanging out. My parents live about 3 hours away from my family now, but when they visit, Dad and I try and sneak out and hit the Outlets!

It's funny, but many times, when I see an old movie on TV, I remember that I saw it at the DRIVE-IN with my dad. Gosh! He and I saw the original 007 movies, Westworld, old monstor movies...just him and me. I guess I must have been his movie partner, because there were four kids in the family, and I am the only one that went!

One of my favorite memories of my dad is of a visit to my home in Texas. I didn't have a coffee maker, I only had an old electric percolator. I wasn't sure how much coffee to put in it but thought it was about 4 scoops. I made the coffee and my dad poured a cup and started drinking it and got a weird look on his face and said to me, "It's a little strong isn't it baby?" I told him I only used 4 scoops. When we looked at the "scoop" I had used a 1/4 cup measuring cup and had put a cup of ground coffee for 10 cups. We laughed about that for years. My dad was a great supporter of his family and his girls had him wrapped around our little fingers....I lost my dad a little over 5 years ago and not a day goes by that I don't think about him. I miss him terribly!

my fondest memory of my dad before he died when I was little was when he used to sit me on his lap and he will read me a book until I fall asleep. In my young mind, I felt so safe.
thanks for the chance to win your candy.

I have two memories, though each of them are with a different dad. I was adopted from Korea and I believe my biological father was a soldier. I remember my biological mother being very sad and didn't understand why until my father came to say goodbye. He kissed my forehead and told me he loved me before he left. That made me feel very special.

Six months later I was adopted and very afraid of men. I didn't let my adopted dad near me without panicking. I remember knowing that he was a good man, but just couldn't let go of the fear. About 5 mos. after I came to the US, I saw how much fun my sister was having with him. I let go of the fear and hopped on his other foot and allowed this new dad into my broken heart. The thing that strikes me the most is seeing the love and patience in his eyes. He was waiting for me to accept him. He is one of many things that I will always be thankful for.

When I was about 10, I wanted a horse more than anything. My Pops (not a horse man, but a military man) looked at me and listened to my whine. He then said the following: 'Honey, if we get a horse and it gets hurt, we would have to shoot it, but if we get a motorcycle and it breaks down, we'd push it into the garage and we'd fix it'. Needless to say the next week, I got a motorcycle. My Pops always had a way of helping me decide things! He is a great man with tons of wisdom!
