Girlfriends Unite! Blog Candy and More!

I’m back from the CK Scrapbook Show in Tulsa and I’m excited to show you some fabulous new samples our talented Design Team has created!

First here are a couple of photos from the Tulsa Show which was crazy busy as I only had a single booth. I was so lucky to have such excellent help! Carol Moore helped me set up Thursday and she worked all day Friday. We were so busy, I forgot to take a photo of her, but THANK YOU CAROL for all your hard work! Then Shelia came and worked all day Saturday and then helped me pack up and she was also a huge help! They both said they thought it was fun and it’s true it’s like a big happy festival with lots of laughter and nice people to meet - but you still get sore feet and talking non stop all day can make you feel like a zombie! Here is a photo of Shelia in the booth on Sat and another so you can see how tiny a 10 x 10 space is when it’s filled with product and people! Everyone I met was so NICE - thank you Tulsa!

Vicki Chrisman organized a challenge for the ladies on the our DESIGN TEAM that could join in to combine any image from our new Girlfriends Image & Journal Notes Booklets with any of our Clear Art Stamps.

I LOVE all six of the samples these ladies created!!! You can see each of them here when you click these links below to their blogs and get all the details and supplies. Remember to click your ‘Back’ button to return here and you can also click the links on any of their blogs to see all of the samples!

Vicki Chrisman – Let’s Do Lunch Layout

Lisa Zappa – Girlie Cards

Heidi Blankenship – Thanks So Much!

Marisa Isa – Sweet

Pam Hooten – Altered Mirror

Vivian Peters – Fashion Diva!

Anna Wight and Michelle Wooderson from our design team couldn’t join in the fun this time but hopefully they can take part in our next challenge.

Now… on to the FREE Giveaway for Blog Candy! I thought it had been a little while since I had done a give away so in the spirit of our ‘Girlfriends’ theme, I thought I would give a girlfriends theme package away! This is the same package that Pamela Lupien recently won in the Splitcoast fun raising raffle but I also want to add one of our new Glamour Girl large stamp sets to the package, plus an extra Girlfriends Book for the winner to give to a friend!

To enter all you need to do is leave a comment on this blog and tell me your girlfriends name and where you met. A random winner will be chosen this Sunday. A ‘girlfriend’ can also be your sister, mom or any other woman you would like to give one of our Girlfriends books to.

You should also check out the great cards HERE that ladies have posted on the weekly challenge over at the Split coast website! Darlene from the UK (known as Angel North) volunteered to post the challenges this month and this week she asked people to create something ‘over the edge’, so that some element is sticking out from the regular part of the card. I love this card she created using our French Mail stamp set!
HERE are the DETAILS if you wish to participate. Don’t forget to go have a peek at the other ‘Over the edge cards’.
You also can check out LOTS of great samples in
Also, don't forget, you just need to post a comment on this blog to be entered to WIN our Girlfriends package with an extra Girlfriends Image & Journal Notes Booklet for your friend! Don’t forget to leave your contact info or check back to see if you won!
I hope you are all having a wonderful week!

Our NEW Glamour Stamp Sets are in stock and shipping to stores! This set has a real art deco glamour girl style

I adore this card that Lisa Zappa from our design team created using the Glamour Girl stamps, Copic Markers and paper from our Radiant Paper

Pad. You can get all the details on Lisa's blog ShabbyChickJunk HERE on how she created this beauty!

It looks like soldering is becoming more and more popular and this boxed set of cards that Michelle Wooderson from
our design team created using a the spool, thread, and safety pin from our Sew Special set provides a perfect spot to add the little soldered charm. One of the cool elements of this set is the way you can stamp the thread stamp over the spool, so you can change the color of thread each time and color it to match your project.

Vicki Chrisman from our design team used images from our Little Dolls Image & Journal Notes Booklet to decorate this wood shawdow box. The little girl, the wings, party hat, the 'faux theatre curtains' and Once Upon a Time sentiment are all from the same booklet. The paper

You can see more close up photos and details on Vicki's blog HERE

I really like the dimension she added using foam squares. The lace, mini pom poms, scallops and robins egg blue painted wooden feet are each wonderful touches that turned this project into a little piece of art!

We will also being sending out our regular little newsletter soon but I'm wondering if it would be easier to do it like a blog post? The photos can be bigger and there are not many restrictions on how many photos and details you want to include. I would love to hear any feedback you may have?

Have a fantastic day!

Free Booklets, New Samples and Janels Great Layouts!

Free Booklets From Michelle Wooderson!

Michelle Wooderson (also known as Mish) has been on our design team from the beginning and she has created so many fabulous samples, I am so happy that she is staying on our team! Tomorrow she is doing a draw on her blog for a set of our 4 new Vintage Image Journal Notes. The new titles: Little Dolls, Girlfriends, Halloween and Christmas have become a big hit and if you win a set, Michelle will send them off to you in a priority envelope! To enter, you just need to leave a comment on her blog HERE with a favorite childhood birthday memory and your contact info. You have to check out Michelle’s posts on our Galley HERE to see the array of wonderful samples she has created!
I found this great Halloween card she created using our SM05 Fairy stamps
and diamond paper from our Earthy Paper Pad. Dot paper is from the Radiant Pad. The moon is a sticker from our HVS 907 Halloween Stickers and the combo of everything works so perfectly! There is a matching card in the gallery. I also found this cute Halloween dress Michelle created using one of our Sweetchips Little Dress outfits. The silver glitter on the collar and bow gives it great sparkle!

In keeping with the Halloween theme, check out this adorable card that Marisa (our new design team member) made last night using our new Halloween Fun Stamps! She gives complete instructions on her blog HERE

I love the way she layers everything! "Hey Marisa, are you super fast with the scissors? I love all the die shapes you have and the little white dots you add". Plus, the spider web stamp looks very cool and yippee - it's ours! Okay - it was my first time seeing it on a card like this.

I also adore this layout that Vicki Chrisman from our design team sent me today! The little girl in the photo, Jocelyn, is a doll and the journaling with the image is perfect!

This 3 little kittens image Vicki used is one of my favorite kitty images we have. In fact I love it so much (I think it's the colors) that it is also in our Little Girls Alphabet & More Booklets. All the alphabet books are on sale now to make room for our new products but I didn't want to loose this kitty image.
The matting ties all the colors together and the scallop and bow and buttons add the perfect touch. Every time I see the cat at the bottom of the journal card, I think he/she should be a stamp. Would funny cat stamps be popular?
Lastly I wanted to thank Janel Brown again for being part of our Design Team and creating SO MANY incredible layouts, cards and keepsakes! I love reading her journaling as she really does document her family memories and her photographs are so beautiful! Plus she uses really cool hidden pockets and lots of other inventive ideas.
"Janel we know you are busy but please keep in touch and post any of your samples, as I know everyone has enjoyed them so much!" Here are just a few to show you but you can see all of Janel's samples HERE in our Gallery! and also get the details

Hello everyone and welcome to all the new subscribers!

I’m adding some new members to our design team! There will be more to come, but for now please welcome Heidi, Marisa and Vivian!

Heidi Blankenship http://embellished-dreams.blogspot.com/
Heidi lives in Minnesota and says she is married to her wonderful husband, Eric and they have two sons. She is a SAHM and she also teaches stamping classes in her home. She has been stamping for almost 20 years and she also loves all things related to paper crafting. Some of Heidi’s other hobbies include painting, floral design, jewelry making and photography. She is also a certified Copic Designer , plus she is on the Spellbinders Design Team as well.

Marisa Grossman http://marisa-isa.blogspot.com/
Marisa was born and raised in the Philippines, were she lived for 26 years before moving to Los Angeles where she was introduced to scrapbooking by her sister. She now resides in BC, Canada and has 4 children; Michael, Nicole, Katie and Patrick. She works as an auditor at a bank and in her spare time she loves to create cards and do some scrapbooking. She was first introduced to http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ in December of 2007 and started participating in some of the challenges in February 2008. Marisa says she has really enjoys viewing the creations of so many talented people and that she has learned so much from being involved at SplitCoast. Marisa was our guest designer this July.

Vivian Peters http://www.vivlyndesigns.typepad.com/
Vivian was born and raised in Michigan and still lives there. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Larry, for 37 years. They have one son, Mark and seven – yes - seven cats! She works for a major corporation in the financial department. Her husband is retired and he likes to cook and clean so she loves having him home taking care of things. Hey Viv, can you clone him?
Vivian says creativity has always been a part of her life and played a part in some of her favorite memories. She was intrigued with stamps for years but got addicted in 2005 at a friends Stampin Up! Party and became a “hobby” demonstrator so she could get the discount on more stamping related goodies. She has ventured into using other companies stamps and thank goodness she loves our Clear Art Stamps!
Most of our design team is just starting to get all their new sample products to play with, so you will start seeing lots more creations soon!

Some of you may have seen the FREE little vintage toaster download on my last blog post HERE. Now I have to show you this hilarious card that PammyJo created using the toaster download and the fork stamp from our Kitchen Classics set. I love the way she chalked her toast all burnt up and stabbed it with the fork and added the caption “Ruff Day?” The table cloth she made matches perfectly, using paper from our Radiant Paper Pad. Plus, the yellow panel wall is cool!
Last minute reminders…
If you haven’t entered Vicki Chrisman’s free Giveaway for some of our new Image & Journal Note Booklets, run over now as she is picking a winner Aug 8. All you have to do to enter is post a comment on her blog here. Here are a couple of Cute Christmas cards she whipped up for a quick class she teaching this Fall. Plus, the girls at Splitcoast have a new challenge going on to create a card using products that start with your initials.

It looks like fun and I LOVE all the cool samples they are creating! There are even a couple of cards with our new little witch stamp.
I also love this adorable 'Miss You' card that Lori Washburn made using Lace and Watercolors!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

New Stamps Arrived, Cute Free Printable & New Samples!

I'm so HAPPY to say that our NEW Stamps arrived today and they will start shipping to stores tomorrow! Plus, for those of you that don't have a store near you and want to buy online they are also now available through Shopatron here!

Even our design team is anxiously awaiting these new sets as I only had a couple of each of the demo samples this time. You will start to see all sort of cool samples popping up in our online gallery and on our design team members blogs soon!

If you missed the adorable little witch card Anna Wight created, or the cute Birthday cards by Michelle Wooderson, you can scroll down to the next couple of posts here to catch them.

Before I forget if there are any stampers reading this that live in the Tulsa OK area who LOVE our stamps and are interested in coming to the CK Show in Tulsa August
22 & 23 and demonstrating our stamps - I need HELP
at the show! Even 2 friends could take turns. Please me at sandy@craftysecrets.com
if you are interested and tell me a bit about yourself and add a link if you have a gallery or portfolio of any kind. I can pay in money and free product.

Here are the other two new stamp sets. SL16 Bithday Kids is available NOW, but the only item held up is the SL 17 Glamour Girls set as it was revised, so we are waiting to get them later in August now.
Now I want to share a FUN Little FREE project with you! A few months ago I was surfing in Splitcoast galleries and I came across this adorable card designed to look like a toaster by Linsey Rickett, see more detail here on her blog. She used our Little Chefs stamps to decorate it and it was so darn cute I contacted her to see if she would mind if I scraplifted it.
So when I came across a vintage valentine toaster, Cindy our head graphic designer said she could turn it into a little B&W pattern. You can stamp on the toaster and toast and cut them out . I was going to make a sample but we are too swamped, so if any of you do please email me photos and I will post them! How about "A Toast to You!"

You can double click your mouse over the B&W pattern to make it larger and then save it in a picture file, so you can print it in different sizes, but a 4 x 6" size looks great and would make a cute card to leave for someone special at breakfast.

Tonight I also came across these beautiful cards Lisa Zappa from our design team created using images from our Girlfirends Booklet. They would be perfect to decorate a girly room.
You can get more details on Lisa's blog Shapbby Chick Junk here! You can see any photos to see them larger.
I can't belive it is the end of July! Marisa has been our July guest designer and has created so many stunning cards. I really love this bithday card she made using paper from our Pastel Paper pad and an image from our Childhood Image & Journal Notes Booklet. Thank you Marissa for all your inspiration!
Here is a link to Marissa's blog which is brimming with inspiring samples!
I hope you all have a great weekend!
