Meet Me at the CK Show in WA!

Hi Everyone,

I’m back, but with those famous words ‘better late than not at all’. I did say I would post the winner today and planned on doing it this evening just not this late! Today was one of those days that I wished I could clone myself to get everything done.

I just did the Random # Generator and it picked # 24, so the lucky winner is Katie Lyon! Congratulations Katie

True Random Number Generator Min:1 Max: 245 Result: 24

There were 245 comments and it looks like Cardinals, Robins and Bluebirds were among the most popular but there were so many different birds people picked it was really fun reading them all! I’m delighted you all love birds because I have lots more fabulous B&W and colored birdie images and may do another Bird Stamp Set with a variety of the most popular birds.

What would you think of a Birdy CD with colored birds you could print from small to large size to use on big projects like cards, pillows or wall art? Would you like this Cardinal? I would love to hear your feedback! PS – we are working on new stamp sets with images
you left feedback on previously HERE – thank you!
Okay, we have a brand new Vintage Cut called Kitchen Time and I’m thrilled with the way they turned out! The colors came out perfectly and there are so many fun images on this 7 x 12” coated cardstock sheet. The Vintage Cuts are the first Heartwarming Vintage product we did and still our our least expensive item (sug. retail $1.75 USD). We just re-printed some again and the printer had one extra space so we couldn't resist adding a new sheet

For those of you who didn’t know we have a 2010 free calendar sheet on the home page of our website (just click on 2010 under the calendar icon) that our graphic artist, the talented Cindy van Koll, creates every year. You can print it on any color of light paper, cut out the months and ink around the edges to create mini calendar pages as shown in the 2 samples below.

This calendar, designed by DT leader Vicki Chrisman, is from pg 28 in our Get Round Booklet done on six old recycled CD’s. She printed the calendar on cream paper and used images are from our Seasonal Booklet. Just match whatever images you choose to scraps of paper. I hope it gets bigger when you click it on so you can read the text. I wish I knew why some pictures get larger and others won't!

This sample below is from pg 36 in our Get Creative Booklet, designed by Jennifer Wyatt, co-owner of Mystic Paper in Mesa, AZ. Jennifer also printed the calendar on cream paper and chose images from our Seasonal Booklet and the cards sit on a plastic ‘easel style’ CD case. Sorry, the text is missing from this page.

Both of these 2 little idea booklets
were published back in 2005 and we are starting to run low so I wanted to share these calendar projects. I will post more calendar ideas during this month. Gee, if we had more time we could publish 2 new idea booklets and feature our new stuff!

I also wanted to tell you about the challenge Lori Lynn Washburn is hosting over at Splitcoast to create a window on your project and use any of our products. I love the images and stamps everyone used! Here is Lori’s card and she used kitties from the Homemade Booklet. You can see the gallery HERE and you can still join in the fun and post a project you create! Here are all the details.

I had to share this card that Deb created for the window challenge using our new Merry Christmas Scraps. The snow couple look so cute in the little shaker window she made. She has details HERE on her blog. http://frecklefacepw.blogspot.com

Look at this very pretty layout DT leader Vicki Chrisman created using the birds and roses sentiment from our Birds & Blossoms Scraps. The little torn piece on the bottom left corner is from the same sheet. Papers are from the Classic Paper Pad. If you click on Vicki's name you can see the 468 photos she has posted in our Sample Gallery! Holy moly - I just looked and she has had 1,768,006 views! Wow - she is talented and famous!

I also wanted to share this adorable card DT member Michelle Kovack designed using our Snowbunnies Stamp Set. I love the lace doily, Spellbinders die and mica flakes she used! You can get the details HERE on Michelle's blog. Poor Michelle, our gallery has messed up and stopped working for her but she has a great Crafty Secrets Gallery HERE on her blog with 114 projects she has designed using our products!

Okay, lastly for those of you who can make it (I wish everyone could) I wanted to give you the details on the CK Show we will be at this weekend in Bellevue, WA. Sandy, I would LOVE to see any birdy images and especially in a CD where you could print them as needed! Congrats to the winner of your blog candy. Lucky girl:)
