Girlfriends Unite! Blog Candy and More!

I’m back from the CK Scrapbook Show in Tulsa and I’m excited to show you some fabulous new samples our talented Design Team has created!

First here are a couple of photos from the Tulsa Show which was crazy busy as I only had a single booth. I was so lucky to have such excellent help! Carol Moore helped me set up Thursday and she worked all day Friday. We were so busy, I forgot to take a photo of her, but THANK YOU CAROL for all your hard work! Then Shelia came and worked all day Saturday and then helped me pack up and she was also a huge help! They both said they thought it was fun and it’s true it’s like a big happy festival with lots of laughter and nice people to meet - but you still get sore feet and talking non stop all day can make you feel like a zombie! Here is a photo of Shelia in the booth on Sat and another so you can see how tiny a 10 x 10 space is when it’s filled with product and people! Everyone I met was so NICE - thank you Tulsa!

Vicki Chrisman organized a challenge for the ladies on the our DESIGN TEAM that could join in to combine any image from our new Girlfriends Image & Journal Notes Booklets with any of our Clear Art Stamps.

I LOVE all six of the samples these ladies created!!! You can see each of them here when you click these links below to their blogs and get all the details and supplies. Remember to click your ‘Back’ button to return here and you can also click the links on any of their blogs to see all of the samples!

Vicki Chrisman – Let’s Do Lunch Layout

Lisa Zappa – Girlie Cards

Heidi Blankenship – Thanks So Much!

Marisa Isa – Sweet

Pam Hooten – Altered Mirror

Vivian Peters – Fashion Diva!

Anna Wight and Michelle Wooderson from our design team couldn’t join in the fun this time but hopefully they can take part in our next challenge.

Now… on to the FREE Giveaway for Blog Candy! I thought it had been a little while since I had done a give away so in the spirit of our ‘Girlfriends’ theme, I thought I would give a girlfriends theme package away! This is the same package that Pamela Lupien recently won in the Splitcoast fun raising raffle but I also want to add one of our new Glamour Girl large stamp sets to the package, plus an extra Girlfriends Book for the winner to give to a friend!

To enter all you need to do is leave a comment on this blog and tell me your girlfriends name and where you met. A random winner will be chosen this Sunday. A ‘girlfriend’ can also be your sister, mom or any other woman you would like to give one of our Girlfriends books to.

You should also check out the great cards HERE that ladies have posted on the weekly challenge over at the Split coast website! Darlene from the UK (known as Angel North) volunteered to post the challenges this month and this week she asked people to create something ‘over the edge’, so that some element is sticking out from the regular part of the card. I love this card she created using our French Mail stamp set!
HERE are the DETAILS if you wish to participate. Don’t forget to go have a peek at the other ‘Over the edge cards’.
You also can check out LOTS of great samples in
Also, don't forget, you just need to post a comment on this blog to be entered to WIN our Girlfriends package with an extra Girlfriends Image & Journal Notes Booklet for your friend! Don’t forget to leave your contact info or check back to see if you won!
I hope you are all having a wonderful week!

My best friend is called Martha, I met her when her son and my daughter first went to pre-school. She also lived around the corner. We moved away (first to the US and then back to the Netherlands but 2 1/2 hours away from where we used to live) but we stayed in touch. We meet about 3 to 4 times a year. She is a girl with low self esteem but very talented (she doesn't think so). She plays the clarinet and piano and she does it well. I got her into scrapbooking and stamping and she is good! I'm glad she is my friend.

My BFF is Denise. She was once married to my brother ! They got married at 16, 2kids and 2 years later they were divorced but she and I stayed/became the best of friends !! She's more of a sister to me than he is a brother!

We've been friends for about 34 years! wow...long time!

I met Suzanne many years ago at work, we have since gone on to different jobs, but our friendship remains solid. We've been through so many ups & downs, joys & sorrows that, & so many personality changes. Well, we have to stay best friends because no one else can know us & still admire what we each are all about.

My girlfriend is my mom. We love going and doing all kinds of things together. We always go shopping, antiquing or out to have a nice meal. I have been living away from my mom for the last seven years and I have just moved back closer this last month. We already have some outings planned and it will be nice to spend some more time with my mom and make up for the time I missed.

My best friend's name is Julia and I met her in high school. We weren't friends at that time but knew of each other. Later, during university (we went to different universities) she started to blog and I somehow stumbled upon it and started following her and commenting. From there, we met up again and became best friends! :) She's such a caring and kind soul -- I'm glad we're friends!

My friend is Cathy, we met in 5th grade!! We've been best friends for almost 30 yrs!!!
Growing up our extended family lived far away, and so did theirs. My parents and her parents also became best of freinds. We spent every holiday together! Now we are all spread out around the country, but her and I still talk at least once a week. I don't know how my life would be without her! She is truly family to me.

Okay it's hard to give you one. My best friend is my former college roommate that I met --well let's just say we can now measure our friendship in fractions of a centurey -- I hate that! We also are both turning a big fraction of a century this year on our birthdays -- I hate that more. We have been through ups and downs in each others life but continue on in a supporting loving friendship!

What a wonderful give away - thanks for the chance to play. I have a friend named Bridget who I met in elementary school. Although we don't get to see each other often - now in different states, we can pick up where we left off. I think more than that I value her honesty and her acceptance of me for who I am warts and all : )Writing this makes me think it's time to send a card. Thanks!

I met my BFF at work over 23 years ago. We just clicked the first time we met and when we got our families together they all clicked too. Now that doesn't happen very ofter. I sure could use these stamps, cuz I just had to move about 700 miles away from her and I can think of a lot of things to make for her birthday coming up and Xmas. Thanks for a chance.

My BFF is Becky and we met about 25 years ago when we lived in the same neighborhood. Another neighbor introduced us and we quickly became best friends. My ex-husband tried to break up our friendship because she was single, but it didn't work. He is gone, she is still here :) She has moved to different states, then I did, but we have always kept in touch.

Oh, what great blog candy! Thanks for the opportunity and all the great info. I met my girlfriend as my kids' school. She helped out with one of the school parties and we've been friends since. We've even come up with nicknames and so now she is evermore known as DOOMBAH around my house. I love her to pieces and couldn't ask for a better friend.

My best friend and I met at a stamp demo. My friend was coming from another state to do a demo at the store where I worked. I invited her to spend the night at my house instead of going to a hotel. That was like 13 years ago. We have shared so much since then. I am so blessed to have Pat in my life.

I have a lot of friends, but I suppose the one I have had the longest is Dawn M. and we started working together at a local grocery store when I moved to Lincoln after graduating from high school in a VERY small town in 1985 -- we are still friends today. We don't see each other very often, but we do talk on the phone -- yes, phone and not email!! :-)

My best friend name is Liliya! We've met each other at the hospital when we were waiting for our babies to be born. It was 8 years ago. She was joking with me at that day. Her husband wanted to have a boy. But she knew that she will have a girl. So she offered me to take her daughter and I would give her my son. We still laughing about this because she said that she would never forget my big eyes at that moment!!!

My best friend is my identical twin sister :) We are just as close now (almost 37 years later) as we were the day we were born. It's a real blessing to know she is always there for me. We love to get together and stamp and craft, so this blog candy would be great to share with her.

My bestest friend is Ruby! She and I have been through a lot..she lost her daughter last year and we are still in the healing process. AND part of that process is our stamping together. It give her the time to release her feelings and talk while we do stuff we enjoy..We cry a litte, stamp a little, create a little. What a great friend she has been me for over 38 years, I only hope I'm as good a friend to her in her time of need.

I must really be hard to get along with or something, but I don't have a Best Girlfriend right now... my husband is my best friend, but obviously, he is not a "Girl"! I would share the book with my Mom & Sister in Law, as they scrapbook and I love them. I have some friends that I've known for years, but I don't see them much... it's more of a Christmas card keep in touch kind of thing.
I love the Giveaway and hope to be considered!

I met my girlfriend through her husband! I was at lunch talking with a friend about scrapping and stamping and my friend's hubby walked by. He stopped and asked me if I scrapped and stamped. I replied that he did. He asked if he could give his wife my phone number since they had just been married and she wasn't from the area...he thought we might get along since we had similar interests! And we did! We do! It's great to have a stamping/scrapping buddy to "play" with!

I deeply miss her and her family as we moved 10 hours away to a new state 2 years ago.

I count myself blessed with many friends but I guess my "bff" the one person that knows EVERYTHING about me and vice versa, would be Valeria. She and I met in college because we were both in the marching band at the University of Tennessee. We have been roommates, graduated Nursing School together, between us have been through so much together and although we live 4 hours away from each other and only talk about once a month, this is the type of friendship that knows no time or boundaries! Thanks for this awesome opportunity!

Well, I have lots of girlfriends but today I'm thinking of my friend, Amy. The first time we met, we were introduced to each other by another friend, Vicki. It turned out Amy lives right down the street from me. As our kids started being placed in the same class, we started becoming friends. Now we help each other out and hang out all the time. Tonight, 3 of her 4 kids are with me cuz she's at the ER with her DH who injured his eye today.

My BEST friend is my daughter Carolyn. Through failed marriages, I pretty much raised Carolyn by myself and we were always close throughout her growing years and now that she has a family of her own, she often tells me how much more she appreciates our relationship. As busy as she is, she ALWAYS takes time to call and check to see if there is anything I or my husband might need. She's MY GIRL ... MY BEST FRIEND!

My best girlyfriend is LeAnn...Weird story about how we met. She thought I was a horrible mom because I put '3 brats' on my personalized lisence plate for my car. My son invited her son over to play when they were in preschool and she was very hesitate about it, thinking I was going to lock her son in the closet with duct tape or something. Anywhoo, she asked around town about me a found out I used to do daycare and I am very wonderful with kids and she then caved and let her son come over to play. They have been best friends since and I have been with her since then....through thick and thin, new babies and funerals, she has been there and gives me the support I need.

Although she was asking me questions that would pertain to employment she was very warm and caring...I could tell we would be firends whether I got the position or not (that was in 1998).
