Aug. Linky Winner, New Samples and Houzz Recycle Ideas

Hi Everyone,

We had 20 fabulous entries for our August Linky Party and the Random.org Winner was #15,  so Congratulations goes to Geri's Paper Wishes!  Each one of the entries were unique and wonderful and you can see them all here!

DT Leader Vicki Chrisman created a spooktacular set of Halloween cards and a treat jar using our new Jolly Halloween stamp set for $12.99 and papers from our CD #1.  You can see close up details of each card on Vicki's Blog.  Plus you can see Vicki's new doggie Daisy!

This is the Jolly Halloween Set Vicki used and for a medium set it has so many fun mix & match images and sentiments. The silhouette images at the bottom are a border stamp but you could cut them apart.

I spotted this spectacular card from a set of 4 cards that Teresa from Melbourne, Australia created using our Car Classics Stamp Set for a class she taught.  I love the way she has the car bursting through the paper and her other card designs!

Look at the way Marie-alice used mini pearls on the dragonfly wings along with the sentiment and Dandylion stamps from our Wild Flower stamp set.  Marie used a brayer to create her pretty blue sky.

Have you ever looked at the Houzz Website?  It's full of inspiring home decorating ideas and I look forward to their newsletter each week as it includes photos divided into several themes like using Mason jars.  I loved the ideas they showed recently using old rulers and yardsticks like adding them to the front of a counter in a craft or sewing room!

I also liked the drawers and table top they showed and the post reminded me of when Jan Hennings built this cool altered house memory box using old yardsticks and our Altered Fairy Scraps and stamps. Jan also made another Fairy Yardstick House for a Fairy Challenge we did.

We had a great time at our friends cabin up at Christina Lake with perfect weather.  We took our bikes and did a 3 hour bike ride along the old railway tracks above the lake which was super fun as it was mostly downhill - my kinda ride!

I wonder if anyone would like a bike theme stamp set?  I have some amazing drawings like this Star Rider bicycle design we included big on CD 3 and used on a T-shirt.

Wishing you joy & creativity!  Sandy Redburn

Hi, Sandy...I would love some vintage bicycle stamps. The star rider image is wonderful...do you think you could make it bigger than your standard stamp? That would be awesome!

Hi Ladies, thanks for the encouragement on a Bike Stamp set!. We have found we can only go so big with the stamps and if we push the size higher we occasionally run into problems. What if we did a stamp set and then offered a digital set of larger sizes you could re-size with cutting dies? I know so many of you have said no to digital but for everything you loose (yes you can't actually stamp them) you gain it back in other features like the large re-sizable option, the ability to print on all types of mediums like canvas or tissue, the savings in $$ and space and the fact that we could include die cutting files would be an added bonus! Would you consider digital then?
