BOO-tiful Halloween Projects and a Blog Candy GIVEAWAY!

Hello, Friends!

As I write this, autumn leaves are falling and the landscape outside is changing from summer to autumn.  I love this time of year as there are so many fun holidays on the horizon.  First up, of course is Halloween!  I've seen this holiday evolve from a very child oriented celebration to a time when grown-ups really get into the Halloween spirit with fun parties, costumes and special foods.  So today's post will be filled with BOO-tiful Halloween samples from our design team.

In our area, people are starting to get their Halloween decorations out of the attic or garage to set the stage for ghoulish good times.  Teresa Horner has prepared some tantalizing party treats using templates, images and papers from our fabulous Creating with Vintage Halloween CD #4.

If you are hosting a party, this CD is loaded with fun templates like the spooky house and the popcorn container.  We've done all the designing for you: all you have to do is print, cut score and glue together.  The house could be filled with candy and used as a party favor. It is sooo cute!

To welcome her guests, Teresa created this too cute to spook door hanger with layered Halloween papers, a printable image and pretty ribbon.

 

Creating With Vintage Halloween CD #4 is loaded with 44 designer papers, 12 easy to print and use templates, more than 100 high resolution color/black and white images like the ones you see here.   You can put together the cutest Halloween party on the block with the goodies you'll find here.

 

Teresa has had loads of fun with this CD, and put together another frightfully fun ensemble that also used images from our Vintage Halloween Image and Journal Booklet.  She has all the details and close up photos on her BLOG so I know you will want to check them out. 

 

I just have to show you how cute our Trick or Treat candy box is.  I need to make some of these with the grand girls so they can give them to their special friends!  Again, you just print, cut out, score and glue together...easy peasy!

Ok, the card is so darling, I have to show it to you as well.  The image is from our Halloween Image and Journal Notes Booklet, which is on sale for just $2.95.  Each booklet contains 32 8" x 3" pages filled with adorable vintage images like the one on this pretty card.

I love to find odd items at thrift stores and yard sales and then upcycle them into home decor.  I found this round black bank on a shelf in the Closet of Shame.  The cute images from our newly released Digital Vintage Halloween Scraps and  Halloween Time Heartwarming Vintage Cuts turned it into this not too creepy witches cauldron.  The little ghosts are made from cheesecloth, and when I share this project on my BLOG on October 2nd, I'll show you how to make them. 

Look at this fun Spooky Time card Teresa made using papers from Creating with Vintage Halloween CD and our all new DIGITAL Vintage Halloween Creative Scraps.  The download comes with 4 pages of fun vintage images like the one Teresa used HERE as well as fun tickets, ephemera bits and backgrounds.  It's one of my favorite Halloween goodies in Sandy's Trick or Treat bag! 

I love a good pocket card, stuffed with tags, gift cards or individually wrapped chocolates.  It's such a fun gift to give and receive.  Design team member Ginny Nemchak pulled together this fun, interactive Halloween pocket using the same Creating with Vintage Halloween CD.   I love those witches on the tags!

 

Ginny loves Halloween, and comes up with so many great ways to decorate.  Look at this SPOOK-tacular piece of home decor using more images from this amazing CD.  I love the way she added the moon face to the tart tin and think this would look great in a fall mantel display.

Speaking of home decor, I'm going to share a sneaky peek at a totally adorable Halloween banner that Teresa will be sharing on her blog next week on the 29th.  She made it using images from our Digital Halloween Printables and papers from that fantastic Halloween CD I keep talking about!  I hope I don't get rocks in my Trick or Treat bag for sharing this before she does, but it's just so CUTE, I can't help myself!

I also love the Halloween BINGO cards that come on the Halloween CD and in the Jumbo Halloween Digital Download.  I used them as photo mounts in my ghoulish Halloween Book Case Mini Album, and I'll show you what that looks like on the inside.  But first, here's a look at the cover of this frightfully fun album.

This box was a perfume gift box that I altered with the papers and images from the Jumbo Halloween Digital Download.  This is very similar to the CD, but you can download it right to your computer and there's no shipping cost!  Gotta love that!  I also used a lot of the images from the Halloween Digital Creative Scraps.  Here's a peeky at the inside.

The right hand side contains an accordion fold album, and you can see how I used the BINGO cards as photo mounts and as pockets, too.  I've tucked tags and other goodies behind or on the side, making this an interactive album.  It's the perfect spot to display all those fun Halloween costume photos!  You can find more photos and info on my BLOG.

Diane Hover made a great Fright Night card using the Halloween CD and Halloween Images and Journal Notes.   The googly eyeballs in the trees are such a fun addition, as are the tree branches.  You can get all the details on Diane's BLOG. 

 

Dar used our Halloween Images and Journal Notes Booklet to cook up a Clean and Layered Halloween card that uses a great fall color scheme.

 

And I just have to show you these amazing ribbon wands that Ginny made using papers and images from the Halloween CD.  These would be so much fun at a party!  They are fab-BOO-luss!  Ginny will be sharing all the details on her BLOG on October 2nd. 

 

Owner Sandy Redburn previously used the Halloween CD to create these fun Luminary Lamps and I wanted to include them to show how the images light up when printed on copy paper or vellum.

Too Cute to Spook! September Linky Challenge and Blog Hop!

September has arrived, and with it comes cool sunny days, crisp, juicy apples, brightly colored leaves, kids going back to school...all things we love about fall!  And then there's everyone's favorite fall festival: Halloween! Wedding Part 1 - Showers, Halloween Projects, Last Day for Linky Party!

Hi Everyone,

It's Sandy and I'm back from my time off and have a bunch of things to share with you! Big thanks to DT Leader Kathy Clement who has been a huge help posting here on the Blog for me! I said I would post photos and a few tips we learned planning my daughter Chelsea's wedding and realized I needed to share some photos of her bridal shower and 2 showers I attended this summer. I also have a new Free Gift when you place an order until Oct 1/14.

I will post Part 2 with wedding photos tomorrow, plus our new 2015 Free Calendar and Linky Party Winner. I also have some great Halloween projects to show you and a reminder that today is the last day to enter our Sept Linky Party! 

Here some photos of the bridal shower Chelsea's bridesmaid's threw for her. They painted teacups they got at Ikea with gold paint pens and set up a fun photo booth. 

Two of my daughters, Holly and Chelsea with flower girl nieces.  Bridesmaid Kristy created this great backdrop with a romantic wording she wrote out.

They did a real glamour style decor with lots of sparkly gold and an amazing lunch spread!

I helped my oldest daughter Katie, the maid of honer at her friends wedding, decorate for her a 'Evening in Paris Dinner Stagette Party' she hosted at our house. The bride, a French teacher who loves Paris much preferred this over going bar hopping. It proves you don't have to be conventional and you can create a theme that suits the bride best.

I printed a bunch of old french images (I need to create a French digital collection) and used our old Eiffel tower pattern and printed it on white card stock to make 6 Eiffel towers for the table decor.  They also had a candy bar and we decorated the bags with French Label Stickers. **NOTE: I made our Eiffel Tower Pattern our Free Gift until Oct 1/14 and then it will be a $1.99 download. So until Oct 1, you can add it free to your cart if placing an order.

I also attended a fun Alice in Wonderland theme Bridal Shower this summer that my dear friend Debi (mother of the groom) threw. She is very creative and look at this cute Alice croquet set she made!

A friend of the bride is an amazing baker and made this whimsical cake and all the cookies. I love the tea cup on the cake

 

There was a tea party theme and all sorts of fun decor.  If you missed the other Alice Party I posted about you can see it here. 

The sugar was colored, there were little bottles of "Drink Me Punch' and a cool mix of eclectic decor with miss matched chairs, tea cups.

This was such a fun idea to use chalk paints to draw Alice's dress on a mirror they set up in the bathroom. Our daughter Chelsea couldn't resist taking a photo with her cell phone.

How about this fun Shutter Halloween card by DT Leader Kathy Clement, she created using our Halloween Scraps and CD 4 Creating With Vintage Halloween.

DT Member Darelene Pavlick used our Halloween CD to create this fun Halloween card and gift boxes for a couple of her fave trick or treater's.  You also have to check out the cute School time Card Darlene made!

DT Member Diane Hoover made some adorable Halloween Spoolies using the Halloween CD and you can see the others on Diane's Blog.

DT Member Shantaie Caudell Fowler made an adorable Halloween card you can see here but I had to show you this poppy card she just made with our Digital Poppy Stamp set!  I love how she colored it and used her Cameo Silhouette to create a cut file.
